dumb. Dawson clearly beat Tarver. I understand its the best option for an aging Tarver but its bull****.

 

What a waste of time. Who got the idea for this stupidity of a 'fight'?

 

Tarver activated his rematch clause. Cant really blame him but im gonna.

 

I cant blame tarver because this is his last chance to reclaim his throne, avenge his lost and last good payday. He knows hes going to lose again and he just wants to cash in before retiring. Tarver one hit KO is not going to work in the rematch. But honestly this rematch is a :nono

 

What is dawson going to do? He has to take this fight. I would prefer he knock out his mandatory. Those people who think Cloud is the next best thing need to think again. So it looks like only 2 fights in 2009 for Dawson. Tarver and cloud..another boring year for Dawson.

 

You're reading far too much into it. There's no paranoid conspiracy theory here. People just want to see Calzaghe fight a young up and coming belt holding "prospect". That's why he mentioned Chad Dawson. He's essentially the number 1 LHW prospect. It's not an HBO vs Showtime thing, and if it is, its only by chance.

 

If anyone's getting KO'd in Dawson-Cloud fight its Chad.:deal

It will be around september. Cloud is nowhere close to chads level. You are a noob tot he forum so I will let it go.

 

Pointless rematch here. First fight was won clearly by Dawson and the rematch will probably be worse. Maybe Dawson could stop him this time. Hopefully we get a summer showdown between Dawson vs Calzaghe or Hopkins. Tarver has a bit of a name left and has been on HBO a number of times and with a future possibility of Dawson against Calzaghe or Hopkins I'm not too surprised HBO approved this. Its just Tarver is not a fight too many people want to see.

A pointless fight in some ways but yet it makes sense for Tarver so cant blame him for making the match.
