I had a dream that Tarver won a UD after getting knocked down twice. Dawson is an up and coming star. Antonio Tarver has had a very disapointing career since he knocked out Roy Jones Jr. He seems to not initiate the fight. If he would just throw more punches he would have a shot at beating anyone at 175. But I say he doesn't throw enough punches and loses another decision
I just checked the weigh in results. Tarver weighed in at 172. He must be in shape because he hasn't weighed in that light in quite some time
i think tarver is showing up tonight with his heart out. I think tarver will put up a hell of a fight and maybe test dawson, but i see dawson still winning a ud.
While he is a fairly decent boxer, he is not at the 'A' level. And never was. His legacy rests on being Johnny-on-the-spot at the right point in history to catch a fading and weight-messed RJJ. Buster Douglas, while having decent talent, had a similarly slim foundation to HIS legacy.
I'm going for Dawson by comfortable UD. I don't think Tarver can can fight at a high enough tempo for 12 rounds to win a decision but I don't think he'll get stopped either.
Nearing 40, Mason "the line" Dixon knows this his last chance at the spot light. I think he'll give a spirited fight, but he'll fall short. That being said Dawson by SD.
I like Tarver, and I'd kind of like to see him back in the mix, but I think Dawson is too much. Hopefully its a better show than last time. PS anyone know if there are any undercard fights being broadcast?
I highly doubt there will be a split decision... imo. I see it going by another 9-3 or 10-2 type ass kicking.
I think the extra weight Tarver has taken off will make him come in weaker than usual. Because of this, he will get knocked out and it could be an early one before 4 rounds. I say Dawson by 4th round KO.
