Dawson to beat Calzaghe??

huki I know you're a Chad Dawson fan, but lets put things in perspective, Johnson could eek out a decision against Calzaghe too, it's not like Calzaghe will totally outclass Johnson.

Calzaghe is very overrated on these boards, the man prided himself on beating mostly C-class fighters for 9 years, defending the lame WBO belt, as Too Pretty pointed out, ducked Johnson twice I believe.

Calzaghe would have beaten Johnson 5 years ago and would beat him now.

atsch Dawson is a good fighter with very good speed, but he's not on Calzaghe's level speed-wise. The one thing you can't knock Calzaghe for is hand speed.

So non-American fighters are automatically second-class boxers? All boxing outside the US are just the 'minor leagues'? You are coming across as very narrow-minded with your nationalistic ramblings.

NO NO NO, he ducked the mighty glen johnson 236 times by my count. get a grip will ye. Your all falling back on Dawson not outclassing a man 14 years his senior. Yet some of you on here look down on JC for fighting a 43 year old Hopkins (significantly better than Johnson) when Calzaghe himself is 36!!

Dawson is unspectacular, he shouldn't have had problems with a limited and very old Johnson that he did tonight. I have no interest in seeing Calzaghe demolish this poor kid.

I think you're overrating Calzaghe, their not going to fight anyway. Dawson is already scheduled to fight the winner of the Adrian Diaconu vs Chris Henry match, which should happen in July. Calzaghe is eyeing for Kelly Pavlik who will be fighting in June. By the time Dawson's fight is over with Diaconu or Henry, a fight between Calzaghe and Pavlik will already be scheduled.
