So this is on. Tapia has had a lot of hype but the only time he stepped it up against anyone with a name he was ktfo. Dawson has never had a win over anyone half decent but he has gone the distance with some excellent boxers. I see him lasting the distance again but don't think he has the polish or the punch to get the W. hope Im wrong. thoughts?
Not sure what it is with these Macau cards but they seem slow to have bouts confirmed. I've read that Ik Yang is to be.on the show against some Thai dude but nothing on boxrec.
Dawson for the come from behind ko..to set up the long awaited clash with Mundine mid 2015. Australia's version of Mayweather-Pacquaio..the bout the fans want but have waited forever for.
If he doesn't he'll need to have a think about career options. IB who you got in the heavyweights this weekend?
I think Wilder' reach and Stiverne always starting off slow make Wilder early the attractive option - but there are so many "ifs". What if Stiverne isn't caught early? What if he takes Wilder's best? What if he gets past the long wild right hands and into hooking range and starts ripping away? :think Really a toss-up, IMO, the only certainty being it can't go the distance. (or even halfway)
Mate the arxse of yours must be full of splinters Sitting on the fence doesn't help me having a bet unless you want me to back the draw :think
Oh, why didn't you just say betting was your angle? Forget outright winner, too risky. Farm on the under, mate. :good
Monroe proved a lot to me in Boxcino, and Vera is sliding badly (evidenced by the Chavez rematch and the heavy absorption of damage from Rosado in BKB) Vera's tough enough that I don't think Monroe can stop him even landing counters at will, but I do think he'll lose this...and then maybe call it a day. (either retiring or going full-time in BKB where the opponents are of lesser quality and the format suits his style more)
Looking forward to Wilder-Stiverne. Looked at a lot of video of Wilder this week...Man he is tough to watch sometimes but that right is a weapon of mass destruction. I mean tough to watch because of his cringe worthy technical errors and shenanigans. I picked Stiverne, I'm sticking with that. I think Wilder is hiding dat glass. But I've softened my stance. Wilder is unbeaten and only knows one way of victory. He will be starting fast and like IB said Stiv tends to start slow, almost nonchalant in his approach until those countering opportunities arise. Either way should be a highlight reel finish. Call me a racist but I find it hard to get excited about eastern euro heavies but my interest is piqued when guys from the Americas get amongst it.
