Dawson vs Diaconu!

Before I vote I want to hear Huki's opinion on Diaconu one more time. :yep

 

Is there any news on when they will fight? 'haven't been following up too much on this fight.

 

um dawson poorly skilled??? haha the guy is one of the best skilled boxers in the world. and i am a diaconu fan but i was very dissapointed to see how lazy and out of gas he was in his last fight against chris henry. If diaconu cannot knock out dawson before the 6th round there is no way he will win cuz he will get schooled in 12 rounds.

I think the Johnson fight has only made Dawson a more dangerous fighter. The experience he gained and the will to tough it through will serve him well.

...Dawson's the favourite, though, clearly! He has a better than 75% chance of winning, IMO.

 

Dawson, but I think Diaconu will give a good account of himself.

 

Diaconu isn't a pressure fighter like Johnson. Diaconu has very slow feet and gives his opponent way too much room to box. I predict Dawson will by win by UD12 or TKO11, Dawson has too much skill for Diaconu. Diaconu is also skilled himself but he does have some weakness that Dawson will exploit.

 

Heres the way I see it.

Diaconu as shown in his fight with Henry just proved he had some stamina problems.

Diaconu is good for about 6 or 7 rounds and then he gasses a little bit. I gave Diaocnu the first 6 rounds in the Henry fight, but at the end of the fight I had Henry winning by about 2 or 3 rounds.

The way I see it is that Diaconu needs to go full out and knock Dawson right out, and early cause there aint no way he will win a decision vs Dawson.

The chances of Dawson winning are about 80% id say.

Dawson by UD is possible. But so is TKO. He might take Diaconu out in the later rounds when Diaconu is exhausted.

Dawson should box him off in the first 6 or 7 rounds and fight carefully so Diaconu doesn't crack that chin. Then he should TKO him around 10 or so. Or win on points.

I hope Diaconu knocks him out tho!

Dawson's chin is bendable but not quite glass....sure he's been hurt buzzed and on the verge of stoppage but on a positive not he's shown courage, resilience and determination. The boy has all the attributes of a warrior he will need to tighten up his defensive gaps and realize it's not all about superior reflexes ala Jones. It's quite unfortunate though if he had a sturdier chin and a bit more mustard on that punch I'd consider him the ultimate package....he'd wipe the floor with just about anyone from middle to light heavy with ease.
