Dawson vs. Hopkins — change your mind?

Im glad you made this thread because I was thinking of making it but ya beat me to it. Honestly I still want Dawson/Hopkins IF Hops upsets Chad which is highly unlikely as proven yesterday but Dawson isn't a pressure fighter and is known to have a low workrate so maybe just maybe Hops can pull it off but I rather him retire as his chances to win any big fights in the future are so stacked against him.

 

2) No, I already thought Dawson would beat Hopkins.

 

I go with Option 2. Hopkins doesn't look like he has anything to use to beat Chad even though he has a slight to none chance to win.

 

Always thought Dawson was just a bad style matchup for BHOP. That's the reason he's been ducking Dawson for a while, he knows he can't beat him.

 

Yeah, I'd pay to see that fight despite last night's bore fest.

 

Really? If Chad even lets his hands go he'll win by a blowout he won't show Hopkins respect as he isn't a ko artist. He may have looked pitiful yesterday but he still can have one great win before leaving this sport for good though I wouldn't bet on that.

I always thought Dawson would beat Hopkins. Dawson is very skilled. He's probably one of the 5 best boxers in the sport. Physically, Hopkins can't match up with Dawson. Mentally, Hopkins isn't far enough ahead of Dawson to make up for the physical shortcommings. Hopkins isn't stupid. He's been careful about who he fights for years now.

 

i go with #3. Thought Hopkins still had what it takes to smother Dawson, take him out of his element, hold him, foul him, rough him up and win an ugly UD. Now I don't.
