Dawson vs Pascal in June

pascals looking sensational lately,would'nt be suprised if he pulled out the win.

 

Fantastic news. Ever since the Froch fight I have been a huge Pascal fan (it's hard not to be) and I really admire the guy. Great fight for both fighters at this stage as well:happy. I think Bad Chad will pull off the win on points, though.

 

terrible news. Pascal just had shoulder surgery and he'll need a tuneup, maybe 2, before stepping in against Dawson at 100%. The fight happening in June means that he probably won't get that tuneup

 

What happened with Pascal's shoulder injury, i thought he was going to be out for 6 months to a year or something?

 

Injury or not, I don't see Pascal winning this one if Dawson brings his ''A'' game to the ring. I just don't see Pascal beating a guy that's a little quicker and overall boxes better than he does.

 

Dawson doesn't always bring his A game to the ring. With the injury Pascal won't be able to beat him wether its A, B, or C game.

 

It wouldn't be a unification fight because Chad would be fighting for the full version of the WBC title he's currently got the interim belt for. Which is the same belt he dropped a couple years back that Diaconu picked up and lost to Pascal, so things would really be coming full circle there.

Semantics aside, I like Dawson in this one even though I love Pascal's heart and how he's been improving. Chad Dawson, though, is not the fighter you want to take with your first fight back off of shoulder surgery. It remains to be seen if Pascal can even be the same fighter, but props on him for taking such a tough fight immediately afterward. And props to Dawson for taking another step in cleaning out the division and targeting a younger fighter this time.

 

You gotta favor Dawson at this point... especially with J.P. coming off shoulder surgery.

But,,, that last boring, back-peddaling, BS performance vs Johnson really turned me off Bad Chad.

I hope like hell that Pascal finds a way to take him out ... because I'm definately gonna be there to see it live this time!

2010 is getting better and better. I think that is a gem of a fight, a real humdinger in my book.

Won't happen. His promoter said after Pascal's surgery he wouldn't be fighting for a year. I doubt they would be stupid enough to put him in with Dawson 6 months after surgery on a dislocated shoulder AND a broken collar bone.

 

Broken collar bone, too? Damn, Diaconu-Pascal II was a brutal fight on both guys.
