Dawson vs. Pascal set for August 14

Respect to Pascal. He won my respect a long time ago and it keeps growing. A proper fighter.

 

I don't think his style will carry him thru to HW because his power hand is his lead hand. And the CW division has even less to offer than the LHW

 

This is the first dawson fight that I am really excited about :smoke

50/50 fight imo, pascal has an iron chin and fast hands but there are questions about his power. Dawson has blazing fast hands and a pretty solid chin too.

If chad can beat pascal in impressive fashion :scaredas: He takes over bhop's spot as number 1 in the division

 

IMHO he took that spot in the second Johnson fight.

lol so true. Dawson, his promoter, and his team are dumb. He's a cherry picker like Mayweather except he doesn't have Mayweather's drawing power.

 

Its a good fight, stop bitching, I take Dawson by UD.

 

Too long for fighters who need to act upon their latest work. If they can make it sooner, they should.

 

I've also been dismayed by Dawson's inactivity, but this one is tougher to pin on him.

According to Dan Raphael, he has an exclusive deal with HBO that prevents him from taking a tuneup on some other network. So, if it's a choice between fighting a bum off-TV or just waiting for Pascal, I guess that's what it is.

Anyway, this should be a very good fight. I think it's the best one for Chad to take at the moment, then Cloud if Cloud can get past Johnson (not a given at all).

Beyond that, who else is out there? We know Hopkins wants no parts of him.

 

Bad Chad should get Danny Green on the phone right now and set up something in Australia or the US for the first semester. I think HBO would be interested in that.

If he could get Braehmer or Shumenov, then even better.
