To be honest i'm not sure what Dawson's plan was. Pascal had the better plan and his trainer deserves massive props.

fairly stunned that dawson got beat.

forgot about the fight and just checked the result on fightnews.

sounds a bit controversial in the finish up.

    hopefully we see a rematch.

just like we see an abraham-dirrell rematch. :yep

Madana and dftaylor summing it up perfectly. enjoyed reading those posts. really nothing else to be said.

I do think Dawson can come back, he didn't take a beating.

Yeah i agree. I think it's a make or break fight in his career. He can take it two ways. He didn't take a beating as you say so he can come again..just depends on how bad he wants it.

Does he have the fighting heart to make the adjustments? I think he does.

Pascal might have his number though.........

Yeah i think there was times in that fight where he asked him self...do i wanna be here taking these shots...and at times he wanted to give in but he wouldn't and i think it dawned on him what really being a champion is about. He did show some good things along with the bad.

If he lacked faith in himself before, it's not likely to improve. But I hope it does. When he fired combinations he looked awesome. He could be a pleasure to watch.

    I agree, I think he'll come again.

I do hope Pascal does a number on him in a rematch though. Chad's attitude has stank, and seeing the same people who despise Froch for his bitterness after the defeat to Kessler defending Dawson's demeanour is a pure pisstake.

Thought it was actually a close-ise fight. Pascal deserved the win and clearly won but there were a few rounds where it was quite close and Pascal wasn't dominating rounds imo, just winning them.

Dawson clearly won the biggest round in the 11th, just do not understand why he didn't do that sooner, if he fought like that the whole fight I think he'd eventually get the stoppage, pascal had no asnwer to that, it was chad's constant backing away that gave pascal the opportunity to win the fight the way he did.

The stoppage wasn't wrong but I've seen as bad if not worse cuts be allowed to continue, and much earlier in a fight too. RJJ's cut versus Calzaghe was nastier for one.

I don't think it made too much difference to the outcome though as I could only see the cut giving pascal more confidence, shame it was stopped in a way as people are already jumping on the bandwagon and claiming it was an injustice.

I definitely fancy Dawson in the rematch.

Pascal definitely needs to work on his stamina.
