Dawson vs RJJ

Dawson is so ****ing over-rated. Let's see him beat Johnson first.

you dont see thats a problem fight there, his problems are mental. jones was always a saftey first fighter ayway, but after tarver, he has become very timid. he hurt and dropped calzaghe early and did nothing to follow up, went on the ropes and calzaghe pounded him. dawson hits harder then calzaghe. and he thows a alot like calzaghe. dawson would pummel up against the ropes and ko him. jones is a finished fighter and needs to retire.

dawson's work rate will be enough to deal with jones. it really not so much about dawosn but about jones. jones has almost nothing to challenge dawson at this point. and you say dawson dawson hasnt koed any top guys but have u taken a look at those top guys. tarver and admek have never been koed and johnson was koed once but that was way back at middle at the hands so hopkins. remember, you cant go by just stats and numbers. and if you remember, johnson was not a power puncher and koed jones. you better believe jones will be tryin got survive if where to taste dawson's power.

 

Well you dont here people talking about Johnson & Adamek's power because you really dont hear ppl talking about them period! When is the last time you even seen a thread dedicated to Johnson or Adamek?

 

well, who do you know said he was a ko artist? he may not be a huge puncher but he punches harder then calzaghe, who had jones in survival mode for much of their fight. and again, you dont need to be a huge puncher to get knockouts. this version of jones will be lucky to see the final bell vs. dawson.

he had one tough fight and he did beat johnson..he SMOKED adamek and tarver...how is that overrated

I read today where Steve Kim says Roy Jones indicated that he would fight Dawson. I really don't want to see that. It would be an execution as Dawson would beat Jones up pretty badly. A win over Jones would bring some notoriety to Dawson and possibly help in securing a match with Calzaghe or Hopkins. But as for the fight itself its a complete mismatch at this point.

Outside of a lucky punch from RJJ, Dawson would beat the sh*t out of the statue that is RJJ. Roy would get embarrassed.

 

Tarver, who doesn't look good at this point, would knock Roy out...Same with Johnson........ Roy is a B- fighter at this point, any B fighter would beat him, let alone Dawson who is young, hungry, and just dominated Tarver.
