R-9 dawson dominating, tarver really tired can bearly lift his arms and getting slower if it were possible

A lot better than the first fight but still disappointing.

Marginally better than the first fight. Won't be seeing much of Tarver after this I don't think.

Dawson just doesn't have enough devil in his work. HBO need to keep looking for the "Next Big American Fighter" that they seem so desparate to find.

It started off with promise, I was enjoying it, but it ended up a disappointing spectacle.

I was just thinking, last weeks spectacle was a total blow out, but for the short while it lasted it was fun*. :D

    *shocking

Taver is very good at rematches, this was his last throw of the die, and he has never been stopped - so there is no need to be too harsh on Dawson, IMO. Question-marks have to be asked about how he takes rounds off though.

Having said that, I think he will give absolutely anyone problems, at least for a number of rounds. Big fights at LH at the moment are few and far between though, so I don't know where Dawson goes from here.

Dawson ought to look at dropping to 168 if possible.

    Dawson is avoiding Glen Johnson.

Reading in between the lines last night, I'd be surprised if HBO use him again in the near future. The summing up seemed to be "we've shown you what he's like, but we're not that impressed"

I don't think he is all that either.

This was a pretty pointless rematch though..... perhaps against a more live, hungry opponent he could look better, rather than a guy just getting his retirement fund.
