    HBO has signed Chad Dawson to a two fight deal. Showtime was outbid.

    Never for could see the need for this rematch. I suppose Tarver just wants a few extra dollars before he calls it a day.

    This is good news, even if we have to put up with Dawson-Tarver II as the first fight.

    Looks like HBO is doing what it can to set up Calzaghe-Dawson. I do hope Joe will make the fight, but it's his call.

    Yeah, I figure at the very least HBO might be able to put a little shine on Dawson's star. It's great for the kid. The way that HBO tries to hype and propogandize for their contract boys is something fighters in Dawson's position are absolutely starved for.

    Does anyone know where Tarvoris Cloud stands in all of this? When is Dawson suppose to fight him by?

    What is the fight going to prove?

    Dawson already spanked Tarver by a wide margin last time. If anything it should Glen Johnson getting a rematch that fight was alot closer and tougher for Dawson.

    It's a meaningless fight, but I can understand Tarver. The contract had a rematch clause, and this is probably Tarvers last opportunity to have a fight at the top of the division - meaning his last chance of a decent payday.

    how do contracts with tv networks work ???

    i get it that you can only fight with that network but do you get extra money on top of wat your earning for the fight in which you allready signed a contract for ???

    can someone help me out on this one i never understood this ****
