WBC champ Dawson called out all the champs at 175 when he beat former champion Tomasz Adamek all to little avail. Incidentally, Adamek also went to great lengths to try to get the WBO, WBA, and IBF champs in the ring with him, with no success in the long run.

But now that there were serious rumblings about a Dawson vs Tarver bout being lined up, Dawson's name is being thrown out there as a possible opponent by another titleholder.

Excellent. Woods is a solid champion....but he can't beat Dawson. I am impressed he is even considering Dawson at this point.

Expect Woods vs Johnson 7 before you can ever hope to get one of these other belt kidnappers in the ring.

Dawson is a belt kidnapper? He just attempted to fight a dangerous mandatory, a fight that some folks here thought he'd lose. Not his fault his opponent pulled out.

Showtime should tell Tarver to **** off and use that money instead to make a 175 unification sometime around February.

Good fight...hopefully it is made so we can get a unified champion. I'd definitely pick Dawson.

I was talking about the other "Champs" though Dawson also has yet to make a legit title defense!

You keep repeating that without acknowledging that Dawson's undefeated mandatory pulled out.

Or is that somehow Chad's fault? He can you possibly criticize him at this point?

But Dawson also took his belt from perhaps the most dangerous champion....wouldn't you agree?

His run was 2 fights long.

I see you have no intention of giving any credit without qualifying it.

Though Dawson is not as good as Calzaghe, stylistically he is a bigger version. Woods would not be wise to take this fight. Dawson would have him playing catch up all night.

Woods needs to go for Tarver and Hopkins. Guys he can try to out do by outlasting and outworking them.
