I honestly thought so too, until I saw Dawson fight. Diaconu is just some hyped fighter who turns out to be all hype with no substance just like most overhyped fighters today. And what kind of name is Adrian Diaconu? It doesn't sound like a top 10 fighter or someone marketable. The type of fighter that brings absolutley nothing to the table or to the sport of boxing.

^ And what the **** does that picture suppose to mean? I'm here to chat boxing with you, you ****ing loser, I'm assuming that picture is you, because that's what you probably do in your spare time. The point is I remember people were hyping this guy as the next best thing until I realize he wasn't as good as people claimed to be. Seriously Miranda, Margarito, Mayweather sounds more marketable and more popular then a "Romanian" name.

andyz0r does. So does Zakman. Diaconu has serious power. And hes underrated on these boards imo.

True. Cause Mendoza became the mandatory being Diaconu pulled out due to injury.

Also, the next person who says the word "ducked" or "ducking" in this thread is a ******. :patsch

    Ill just say this....

I have no hate for Chad Dawson. I have nothing but respect for the man. He beat my favorite fighter hands down. I gave Tomasz the 2 of the last 3 rounds(10 and 12), thats it. This kid can box. He is fast, has pretty decent power, good placement, everything. One thing I think he MIGHT lack (not saying he does and i know I will get hate for saying this) is a chin. Diaconu has a powerful crack. To be honest his might be more powerfull than Adamek. Diaconu has a Marciano type fighting style, and he relys on his power to finish people off, like he did to number 3 WBC Ranked, Rico Hoye. He uses that punching power to his advantage, and he knows how to use it. Diaconu imo has a punchers chance on beating Chad Dawson. No way he can outbox him. But if he lands a few flush shots, he CAN finish him. And I think he will. No hate torwards Dawson.

    :good

Nah I ain't trolling, okay maybe I sounded too bias on my post, but the thing is I remember some people hyping up this guy as the next best light-heavyweight. But a guy who is 5'9, with a Romanian name, who calls himself "The Shark" doesn't sound believable. The point is he's a prospect with "serious" question marks, and those question marks are probably legit. He's not like Andy Lee where he's a considereded a good prospect with tremendous upside. I think Dawson is the future of this division and if Diaconu beats Dawson than I will consider him the "man" in Light-Heavyweight. That's how serious I think his fight with Dawson is.

are you kidding me? who gives a **** what his name is. The only thing that matters is what he can do in the ring.

Well at least he's getting some exposure instead of purley hype. Like you I prefer fighters that make a name for themselves by what they do in the ring. None the less I still think Diaconu isn't a marketable name, but that's because he has really proven anything. According to some websites this fight could take place in April. I got nothing against people thinking Diaconu will win, but like I said before I see this as a serious fight that will determine who's the future in this division.

Go ahead, bet your life savings on it, but don't forget to book a room at the Salvation Army.
