[who gives a **** what his name is. The only thing that matters is what he can do in the ring.]

Well he hasn't proven anything andyzOR. He calls himself the "The Shark", but so far all I see is hype. At least Dawson has proven himself. Rico Hoye looked terrible, I couldn't believe that guy was considered a mandatory for Dawson's belt.

The Shark is just a nickname. Almost every boxer has a nickname. I dont see what has to do with anything.

Of course Dawson is more proven, thats why he is the champ and Diaconu is just a contender right now. The fight with Dawson IS Diaconus chance to prove himself, win or lose. I wouldnt call him completely unproven though, but certainly he is unproven against a fighter of Dawsons calibre.

I dont think Diaconu is as 'hyped up' as you claim he is. IMO anyway. I dont see much about him on most boxing websites, or in magazines, or on TV. Sure there was some buzz when he KOed Hoye, but thats to be expected when you finish a guy like that. And yeah, there are those on this message board and perhaps others who believe he will beat Bad Chad, but I dont really see that as meaning he is super hyped. Most, including myself, are still picking Dawson. Fans are just intrigued by his power, its exciting to watch a guy like Diaconu because you know he can change the fight at anytime if he lands the right punch.

If Diaconu gets in a solid hit Dawson will likely go out on a stretcher. So what? That ain't gonna happen. Diaconu is an unskilled slugger just like Sam Peter. He is no threat to Dawson's vastly superior speed and skills unless Dawson gets careless. The notion that Dawson is ducking Diaconu is simply laughable.

Which is why Im picking Dawson to win. But there is always that chance. Im not not going to count him out completley.

I agree that Dawson isnt ducking Diaconu. I never said he was. The fact that they were days away from facing each other, and the only reason they didnt was Diaconus injury, alone is enough to tell me that Chad isnt ducking him. Nothing Chad has said has suggested to me that he is ducking him.
