Same day weigh in seems to be the solution.

What we are currently seeing with Canelo, Javez Jr. and others is a way to "game" the system.

Any championship match should not even allow "Catch Weight" stipulations, weight limits are already defined.

    ;)

I don't think boxers would dehydrate to the same levels they do now with a same day weigh in. They would need to be beyond stupid to do so.

I'm sure Canelo goes to bed hooked up to the needle with an few IV bags running thru him the Friday night after the weigh in. That's a very good way to rehydrate. You will wake up feeling like Superman.

They weigh in at 3:30PM on Friday but don't fight until at least 8PM on Saturday night. That way too much time in between. It needs to be changed. Homansky needs to tell Bennet to change it back.

And with the arrogance they display while doing it over and over, fight after fight makes it disgusting. I really hope Canelo ends up in the hospital ER one day while he is doing his binge and purge weight cutting down to 155. Soon it will be 155 3/4 to accommodate Canelo. He will move up a quarter pound with every fight.

Well then at least get rid of a few weight classes. That would remedy the situation a little bit. Get rid of 154 and 168 for starters.

:D Get rid of some of the ALPHABET Associations and phony championship belts too !!!

There are both to many weight divisions and minor league boxing associations, which is confusing to the average fan.

I agree. Shouldn't be more than 3 sanctioning bodies.

    154 and 168 are not needed. 140 could be eliminated also. So it goes 135 , 147 , 160 , 175.
