I’d like to see him take on Hughie ‘shades of Ali’ ‘world level contender’ Fury in his comeback fight. Given the trouble Chris ‘the natural’ Nora’s gave the young Fury, I think De Mori stands a decent chance of lasting more than 3 rounds.
Wilder is cooked but the truth is he never beat one legit top ten guy in his prime. He beat a bunch of plodders and the only time he stepped up he got hammered. He’s vastly overrated but he was a solid slugger who gave us some epic knockouts.
I might add, that Wallin has a suspect heart. Needs to get in another tough dog fight and see it through and win to change people's minds about him.
After last night for Fury to earn his props from the hater community he has to: Beat Usyk twice by first round KO and a 12 round UD without a single clinch. Beat Agit Kabyel blindfolded Beat Anthony Joshua without a training camp Rematch Wladimir Klitscko and pay him his Saudi earnings in backpay ($100m) And go toe to toe with Joe Joyce & Zillian Zhang
Fury vs AJ needs to happen. And I want AJ to knock him the f out. And it may well happen. Wilder vs Fury might have created this fake aura around Fury. Wilder is trash.
Doesn't need to happen Fury Uysk needs to happen And once Fury has dealt with business he will retire. Whether Usyk wants a rematch or not is the question. I don't think he will bother. Both will retire.
1. That the Saudis can have their pants pulled down and conned by UK/USA promoters... SA paid out their behind for this event and while it was decent, it was a night of somewhat mismatches! I mean c'mon, fatso, inactive Miller, inactive 38 yo Wilder, giant 250+ lb AJ Vs little ol' 230 lb Swedish blubber, 4-5 week notice 'throw the fight with inactivity for a bit of coin' Lyndon Arthur Vs 'i can't finish anyone' Bivol, and Jai Op Vs some rando. Best fight of the night was parker Vs Wilder only because parker ruined wilder and everyone was waiting for the right hand from God to land creating edge of seat tension. There's no way that any UK/USA network pays such sums for such matches. 2. Parker shows us that constantly fighting 3-4 times a year is what makes a fighter fresher even if some of the opponents aren't elite! And, that it's possible to jump back from a bad loss and recover, and that sticking with a trainer has its benefits (cough cough AJ).
A fool and their money are soon departed Saudi Arabia is an ungodly hellscape that will be harshly reclaimed by nature in the future. A symbol of human arrogance. If the ancestors of these people who were tribes people could see what their sons have done to that land they would roll in their graves.
Poor baby Miniq. Upset because people are telling truth about Fury's weak career? After all the years of you flooding this site with posts about Fury in threads that have nothing to do with Fury or even the heavyweight division, you post this feel sorry for Fury bs? Just go back to Fury giving you the ATM treatment and leave the real boxing fans alone.
I don't think we learned anything new about Wilder; we have seem him before looking completely clueless, losing round after round before he lands a big shot to turn the fight on his head. The problem with this strategy is if you fight enough decent opposition the big shot won't always come and Wilder will become unstuck. I don't agree that Miller came in too heavy, given his limited skillset his best chance is to use his huge bulk to wear opponents down; I think Dubois is tougher than people gave him credit for and so he came through. I don't think Makhmudov is a complete hypejob either (though clearly he is way overhyped); I think it's much more that Kaybayel was underrated. And for AJ, I was impressed; I don't rate Davison as a trainer, but AJ looked the best he has done in a long while. He combined the extra wrinkles in his game we saw in the Usyk rematch with the ruthless aggression associated with AJ from years back.
