So if they made $43m in the UK, that would be £31.6m. So if only £2 a month subscribers, that would be well over 1m subs a month. Would also have advertising and sponsorship money within that as well.
The current 27 DAZN UK subscribers may see subs increase from the current very poor value of £4 per UK card to £24.99 per UK card to cover these losses. Game lost
350k UK subscribers is not that bad for a boxing only new platform. Boxnation never got close to that many subs
His estimate is pie in the sky. He was using £12 a month but it would have only been £1.99. So the income figure would include an awful lot of advertising sponsorship etc.
Comparing Champions with Puddings here - one is a UK Channel and the other a Global Steaming Service. Where is the number of DAZN UK Subscribers as at 31/12/2021? That is the only relevant figure of interest for UK boxing fans and comparison with Boxnation.
This is true but the UK business currently is boxing only which is niche. The global service doesn't mean anything when it comes to generating UK subscribers. People don't subscribe because DAZN have a global service with all kinds of different content. UK subscribers are boxing fans and boxing fans only which is the same demographic boxnation had.
Boxnation in the first year was much better than the UK Matchroom shows on DAZN UK since leaving Sky. Perhaps DAZN UK should buy Boxnation from Premier Sports to at least get up to 1,000 UK subscribers
Would not be surprised if they are looking at this given Premier Sports have 3 channels on Sky plus Boxnation and La Liga TV. Danny Kindman ex Dublin and Marbella also looking to get his fights on these channels so could be a bunfight.
