Dickens was clearly driven by the will to avenge his cousin Jonathan Patrick Beresford.

Well, Aries do love pulling the upset, as I've stated like 100 times before, after every other upset they've pulled. Jono Carroll an Aries came within an ass whisker of pulling one against this overrated bum. I only wish I had more faith in Jazza, but he's let me down so many times before. But like his fellow Aries Robinson Castellanos and Rocky Juarez, he only pulls the upsets when people are least expecting it. Aries are drama queens after all, we love shock value!

Batyrgaziev loss was quite the shock. However not as shocking as Puneh Akhundtabarmazandarani loss tonight!

I mean... Olympic gold medalist. :nusenuse: Also the first to ever stop Jono Carroll, and second to stop ex-champ Jezreel Corrales (although to be fair the Panamanian southpaw, while only 31 at the time they fought, was really in his full world class prime more like a decade ago)

In hindsight it was kind of sus that they handled him so carefully after becoming interim WBA champ. That meant he was in position to not only challenge the full champ Lamont Roach Jr. but then basically call his shot against the other three champs as long as he beat Roach. His team obviously wasn't confident in that route; hence living in his own safe little pocket universe with the IBA title.

...or maybe not so safe, as it would turn out. :sisi1
