It's laughable that people tout Campbell as a way to try and over rate Linares.

 

I think he may win the battle but lose the war though. With that bollocks add to 'British beef' Okolie is box office poison. I can foresee promoters featuring GUARANTEED Okolie free on their posters. He had an a,Ali g opportunity in front of a huge audience but he didn't take it win notwithstanding...

They're wrong to do that but you'd be wrong to underrate Linares. He's a great fighter, while Campbell is merely good. How do I reconcile that? Well, because styles make fights. Plenty of greats throughout history fought on even terms with merely good fighters (which is the same argument that Campbell fans, ironically, attempt to use to excuse the loss in Mendy I, but that isn't the case. Both are in the "pretty good" range and Mendy is a hair above, nearer truly world class)

Linares is exactly what Khan fancies himself: an otherwise legitimately great all-around fighter plagued by a single flaw that often proves fatal...that chin. Sort of like a Floyd Patterson or Terry Norris.

Difference is that Khan with an iron chin still isn't "great", while Linares+chin, Patterson+chin or Norris+chin are.
