I at least will for the months that have good fights. $10 vs the $85 it's been. Not sure how well it will do overall in the states. I think for there to get enough subscribers to generate that kind of money, they will need to put NFL or MLB or something on there too. There's not enough fans that will buy this just for boxing
I'm sure DAZN will try and get rights for the more mainstream US sports like they have in other countries, it's just a matter of waiting for existing deals to expire so they can make bids. Boxing was the quickest way to enter the market without having to wait for existing contracts to expire. Problem is they'll like have a lot of competition from Amazon and maybe Netflix as well as ESPN and Showtime.
I'm already subscribed to it and already watched several fights on my phone with the DAZN app. Good stuff.
signed up after canelo deal was announced, i had HBO & paid for PPVs so I come out winning bye bye HBO & PPVs!
I don't think I can get it on my tv provider in the US. as far as I know. If they offer it I will check it out. Not going to buy just to watch on my laptop though
Would the mega fights such as Canelo vs GGG would be included in the subscription? Or will those require a PPV purchase? This is the deciding factor for me.
I got it in the uk i just used a VPN and a prepaid credit card to sign up its a bit of messing about but worth it
Not sure as yet, I suppose it's possible they add extra charges in at a later date but not at the moment. It probably depends how many subs they get.
Can only imagine what it must be like for the RBR guys on here who seem to have just about every fight or channel locked down, sounds a no brainer to me. I’ve never commented on the thing myself and thought some of the hate for it on here was odd given the price. Remember Broner he was one of the first to publicly reveal his offer and laugh at it,is he laughing now I wonder cause when the likes of Canelo and AJ are signed up and given regular fights and title fights like Jacobs and Andrade it would be great for someone like Tank Davis who doesn’t do much now other than miss weight.
Well that’s great news if they stick to it,otherwise nothings changed. Folk usually vote on their feet when they watching for free with millions tuning in,would this make a difference to the fighters purse, maybe that’s why Canelos deal was so big?
