No, Creators are British but they have no chance on busting into the UK with the SKY stranglehold firmly in place...
You're paying not much more than 1 US PPV to watch Canelo/Joshua/Usyk fight multiples times a year. Jacobs will soon be on there. Beterbiev/Bivol and the rest of the LHWs will be on there. Whyte/Miller/Ortiz + potentially Povetkin. Brook/Khan. A bargain for a boxing fan. If all of the above names fought twice a year, one would be fighting every fortnight! It doesn't even take into account the rest of Matchroom's stable..... WBSS too! Oscar/Goldenboy too. I'm guessing Linares joins too? etc etc.
Plus the 7,000 hour Oscar De La Hoya & Golden Boy video library. The deal keeps getting better and better for the same price. But PBC fanboy, gonna PBC fanboy. Obviously not everyone not interested falls into this category, but for the majority still against it, PBC loyalty is the case.
I love the PBC..... I love the idea that guys like Spence are being paid to not fight guys like Crawford. Great for us fans! Oscar has spotted a great opportunity here imo. He, Sauerland and Hearn have realised theres plenty of pie to go around for all 3 of them...... And it's only going to get bigger when HBO goes, and DAZN grows with this Canelo deal.
It's only available in a few countries because boxnation or sky has rights in the uk. a friend of mine tried my account in the uk and he even tried with an IP blocker and it still didn't let him. it's in Canada as well but the price point is bout 15 USD instead of 10 USD.
My one month trial's over, and happy to say I've now signed up for one year Don't you guys in the States have a discounted one year option? $20 CAD ($15 USD) a month seemed a bit steep, especially as I'll rarely watch the other sports they have, but $150 a year is $12.50 CAD a month, which is a great deal. DAZN is just a dream for boxing fans. With Matchroom, Golden Boy, WBSS, and hopefully more boxing deals I'm getting more boxing I ever have for less money. Plus I can always watch a couple hours later when live doesn't work for me. I took a look at ESPN+ with a VPN, and both the interface and content doesn't remotely compare to DAZN. Can't navigate directly to the sport you want, so much reality TV type junk, and they only have a total of about 120 old fights, and that's the usual ESPN Classic Tyson and Ali fights we've all seen so many times, with no recently aired Top Rank fights. Compared to DAZN, with every broadcast in its entirety on demand for a week, then every fight archived individually after that, plus Matchroom and soon Golden Boy archives. Matchroom and WBSS have been on DAZN for barely 8 weeks and there's a good 160 fights you can watch on demand right now. Anyone against this in favour of cable TV needs to have their head examined. The argument against DAZN when they started was they were just further fracturing the boxing broadcasting landscape, but with HBO gone boxing fans have no reason not to cancel HBO and spend what they did on DAZN now. In fact there's no longer any reason to subscribe to cable TV for boxing anymore. I have DAZN, but share a cable subscriber's password to watch TSN here in Canada, which shows ESPN, Showtime, and Frank Warren boxing online. That's all I need! I understand you can pay for Showtime in the States without cable. Cut the cord! We can now watch DAZN, ESPN, and Showtime for a good 1/5 of what it was to have a full cable subscription with HBO and Showtime before.
