Any fight that comes close to selling out MSG has to be classed as a huge fight. It doesn't happen often.
There is zero chance DAZN UK subscribers are even 10% of the numbers watching shows on Sky Sports. You know it is over when even Maya Jama gets out having seen a complete flop of a product.
Not a huge fight at all for me - good competitive fight but not worth the effort of getting the rod out in the middle of the night.
Disclose the DAZN UK figures - how many current subscribers to DAZN UK and how many watched Benn v A. Stiff last week? Whatever the number is one can multiply by 10 for the total viewers.
It doesn't matter what the figures are as unless it's a number you like you wouldn't believe them anyway.
I just seen an interview with Joe Gallagher and he said there are fighters on DAZN that feel there profile is diminishing since the switch from Sky Sports. Also said he forgot the Josh Warrington vs Kiko fight was happening. You must agree there are fans who also finding the same problem when it comes to DAZN fights. Although we don't have any DAZN viewing or even subscription numbers I would find it hard to believe that there has not been a drop off in numbers since leaving Sky Sports. With no sky sports news and DAZN advertising being non existent it would be silly to think DAZN are hitting the same numbers as sky. Maybe I am wrong though so if they are then that is some major achievement. When it comes to profile. Nobody can deny that the buzz for the Katie Taylor fight in MSG would be twice as big right now if it was on Sky Sports. Naturally the viewing numbers would of course be bigger.
That’s because there’s over a million Irish and Puerto Rican people in New York, nothing to do with the quality of the fight.
That just shows Benn is a bigger fighter than the above two though. The question is would the numbers for Benn be higher on Sky Sports. I don't see how anyone can genuinely argue that they wouldn't.
It's not that they wouldn't. The argument is whether the numbers would be dramatically different. For arguments sake say 150k watched on DAZN there is no way that number would be x 10 on sky sports. If one believes that then that just confirms that Benn is a superstar.
