DAZN/Channel 5: Harlem Eubank vs. Miguel Cesario Antín & Harold Scarff vs. Jordan Antonio Dujon RBR

Another Antín round, super close, slugging in and forcing Eubank to fight or hold. Not a lot getting through clean & crisp either way. Plenty of roughhousing and wrestling.

Round 6

Antín is ripping hooks into the body, swiveling both hips with them, but Eubank despite all the movement seems to have more gas left in his tank. Eubank now throwing pot shots while skipping around Antín and sizing him up after slackening the muscles in all four limbs and baiting him with some slinky shimmying at close range. Slip down onto the canvas by Eubank, rushing things. Antín hurt by a body shot at the bell, given a count there was he?

Round 7

Antín is getting poked in the belly with jabs from outside. Lots of directional changes by Eubank, taking spidery steps each way and sniping at the body of Antín. Eubank moves in and smothers, shoving Antín against the ropes. Left hook downstairs and Antín goes to a knee. He beats the count halfway. Almost two minutes left on the round clock. Chopping right hand by Eubank running in. Antín now the one holding. Eubank circles out wide to have a long hard look at him and think things through. Eubank comes in behind a jab and they clinch. Slashing rights by Eubank stepping out. Antín bowling in an underhanded right on the hip as they collide in the middle of the ring, very little steam on it. Eubank with a straight right on the body and then a quick 1-2 up top. Twenty seconds left, but Antín hanging in there, uppercutting his way off the ropes as Eubank again crowds in and smothers him.

Quite possible to have not yet given Antín a share, meaning if he survives we could get the odd fun "one hundred to eighty something" scorecard.

 

Round 8

Antín is just blundering on, and eating single shots before collapsing into Eubank's waiting arms. One uppercut in particular jacks his jaw and causes him to close his eyes but he keeps pushing ahead. Eubank down, slip/shove (there was a punch but Antín missed it very clearly). Eubank is tossing a right down the pipe into Antín's guard and then whipping it up around and off to the side to get past it and ding his head. Eubank now diving in and encircling the waist of Antín with both arms. Eubank taking a breather in this round? Very much foot off the gas from the sixth and seventh. Lead right in the chest by Eubank. Double hook by Eubank, slamming into Antín's arm. Antín down, slip. Ref grabs a towel from ringside and wipes the floor down. Eubank misses a jab and sidesteps a wild ocean-dragging uppercut from Antín, thrown quite ill-advised from mid-range.

Round 9

Antín is trying his best, eating jabs on the way in despite his tight high guard, and getting off shots in multiples when he gets inside, but Eubank just too quick on the pace changeup with his footwork, spiraling outside before Antín can do anything, then jabbing him in the forehead or darting in with a solid hook before melting away. Eubank just toying with him, but also having long stretches of inactivity.

Ought to be noted, the original opponent Uruzquieta had a pretty similar record to Antín. (21-5-2 with eight kayos against Antín's 20-11-1 with eight kayos)

So this was always going to be a relatively safe, ugly, ten-round showcase for Harlem Eubank.

 

Round 10

Antín is slinging leather every chance he gets but having both arms pinned or crimped & yanked about painfully by Eubank. Very messy round as both are gassed. Eubank falling short with jabs, then ducking as Antín telegraphs and misses big hooks. Little in it to be honest, maybe just a few more scratches by Eubank with the jab on the outside. Honest effort from Antín but not enough firm contact.

- Zero power, probably packing glass, style that won't endear him to fans (far more akin to a Bradley Skeete than any of his clansmen)
