    Terrible ref. Terrible. Sb. had huge money on the KO probably+giving a nice KO gift to Andrade ....terrible. Feeling sorry for Akavov. The ****ing ref should be banned for that.

    I literally have no idea why that was stopped, well dodgy. Nothing even happened in the fight, there were no brutal attacks or anything - just a lot of jabbing from Andrade.

    Akavov looked a little bit rattled after taking a couple of hooks, but not any more than Andrade looked in the ninth. Horrid stoppage...But, then again, Mercante Jr is a horrible referee.

    Something not right about this fight. I suppose you could argue Akavov was strictly in survival mode but he had Andrade in range many, many times in this fight and he simply did not throw his left hand. He could have attempted to go to Andrade's head but he never did. He simply poked and probed with his jab to the body. Very weak fight by Akavov. I don't ever want to see that guy fight again. It showed me almost nothing about Andrade since he wasn't even remotely tested. Pathetic fight really.

    WTF?! That was insane. Yes Akavov fought terribly negatively but that was some grade A BS. 30 seconds to go and in no trouble at all and it's not like he'd taken a bad beating. Seems shady as ****

    Actually it’s that BJS just isn’t really all that good. He’s been overrated as hell since beating DL. Who himself was never that great.

    Agreed. Mercante is worthless. Worse than worthless. I can't stand a ref who has a bias toward one fighter over another and Mercante clearly did. Playing to the crowd. What an idiot.

    Also hated the way Mercante constantly tried to grab Akaov behind the neck after the stoppage when he clearly didn't want any of it, almost seemed like he was trying to wind him up
