I thought it was quite a good fight to watch, despite it being a bit one sided. Smith had enough about him to still pose a threat and Bivol was just class. There's other fights of his he could be accused of being boring but not tonight. I thought he was brilliant, not perfect, because I do think he could've stepped it up another gear and went for the stoppage late on. But that's easy for me to say from here on the couch, Bivol is such a clever boxer, and you can see why he wouldn't go all out for the stoppage when he's a mile ahead on the cards and he got sparkled by that punch at the end of the 10th as a warning.

Anyway, not what I would call a boring fight, I found it quite enjoyable.

Pretty boring card overall, although thankfully Callum Johnson provided the one bright spot, it's always fun watching Seanie Monaghan getting bludgeoned senseless.:clapclap:

Yea this was a fun fight while it lasted. Johnson was really putting some spite in his punches. Vicious finish.

I always thought Smith was kind of a disappointing step back in competition for Bivol from the Barrera/Chilemba/Pascal run. If you rewind to just after the Broadhurst fight maybe Smith would be his best scalp (with Cedric Agnew nipping his proverbial heels at number two) but now he's four with a bullet. :nusenuse:

That's just until Joe Smith sends Pascal and Chilemba maybe even Barrera sailing out of the ring onto the back of their heads in his bounce back matches.

No, they are not even relatives. It's just that Mashianov has been his trainer almost all Bivol's boxing career (amateur + pro).
