Are you sure they are profitable even anywhere else? I think they are losing money. Because even a lot of subscribers doesn't mean profitability. From what I've read DAZN's media rights bills are well over $1 billion annually (that's for your information @bandeedo as well, as a potential stock holder ).

What's really happening is that the owners (or rather the owner—Len Blavatnik) are pouring money in from their other businesses (not other DAZNs) to grow DAZN. And this is a very risky game. Will it pay out in the end? Nobody knows for sure.

True. I'd be very surprised if DAZN doesn't change their presentation style and production soon. It's obviously sub par.

I'd be astonished if any territory is in profit at present. That's not what they'd expect at this phase in their development. Scale is the buzzword in this industry and they're aiming for way more than 4 million globally to make their numbers work.

This is true but Netflix is over $2billion in debt but with over $15billion. The line of business the streaming companies are in it’s a long game. The content and data the eventually hold will be worth a fortune. They will not be profitable for a long time but will be able to raise funding due to their potential growth. Aslong as they can show worldwide subscriptions growing and obtain important rights they will be in a very good place.

The key will be if they can obtain the rights of another US sport in the next 2-3 years. It’s a risk but possibly a very good one if it pays off

That would mean raising the stakes even more. Are DAZN ready for this? I'm not sure... They have problems with production teams (commentators, etc.), for example, and, even more important, technical issues with the stream quality. I would definitely recommend solving all these issues first.

I don’t mind it overall. The $20 for fights that would have been $75 is nice cause it will pay for them now. They really need to step up their production though. It was embarrassing the Canelo-Jacobs fight. And they need new commentators. But I’ll get it on months there are good fights
