Is it fair for WBC to take his belt away after a month ? Other champion of WBC has avoided mandatory for many months and even years.

If Loma knew that the 'franchise' status that offered to him is going to take away the belt he just got several weeks ago, he would not have taken it. The opponent that Loma chose as his next opponent was not someone who is far less dangerous than Haney, and a legit world champion who climbed his way up and took the title after KOing the defending champion in round first.

Haney fan girls dont seem to get this logic unfortunately. They think loma, lopez and kambosos ducking him, when in reality they are just letting haney mature as he is young and milking that plastic belt till the cows turn over.

Usually, people scream "ducking" when it's a favorite being ducked due to money issues. In this case, it's just a smart thing to do to avoid Haney. Hehe. Could it be that, Kambosos, the anointed noble warrior, after one fight, doesn't want it? What about Loma?

There is no ducking here, stop believing bull**** naratives, George wants the fight in australia and he aint budging, haney wont fight on jupiter unless he gets paid an over inflated rate which eddie & dzn cant justify for that fights total purse estimate in an unproved australian venue which is why team haney want an alternative international venue that can guarantee a certain purse for all players.

the combination of a fighter like george who is not a household name YET in australia, and the possibility of getting robbed on the cards and losing his only bargaining tool for future fights are the reasons i see for this fight falling over, too much perceived risk for negotiating parties.

There is no ducking going on here, looks like that Pacquiao horn debarcle had done some damage, thank you to qlds boxing fraternity for helping to **** up future mega fights in oz.

First: I believe Loma should be first position to fight Kambosos.

Honestly, there's no logical reason for Kambosos to not fight Haney. A unified champion sidestepping the only other beltholder in the division? That's questionable. Let's leave aside the money talk and all the other ****. Why would it ever be acceptable for a unified champion to not fight the other champion when there is the opportunity to do so? Especially when the other beltholder said he'd go to the unified champion's backyard?

I don't like saying duck, very few ducks are actually ducks. I won't even say this is a duck. But there's no reason to make it happen.

There’s way too much drama and pointless back and forth over this. Loma should be first in line to face Kambosos, then it should be Haney if he doesn’t get it. Simple as that.

People find Haney boring and he reeks of being a hypejob, can't blame them.

Shakur is a truly special talent. He'd mess up Haney by my estimation. It's just that back foot of Shakur's, he makes the most perfectly distanced steps sideways, backwards and forwards to create the space and draw on countering opportunities.

Hypejobs lose to Linares and Jojo Diaz. He may not be a future hof fighter but that does not mean he's not good and one of the best at the weight.

Umm thats not up for debate dude, anyone who knows anything about george and devon can safely conclude george is a small lightweight who can easily drop down and haney is a big ass lightweight who is moving up to 140very soon at the age of 23, george is already filled out at 28, GTFOH with that CODS WALLOP!

Haney and Kambosos are not the same size :risas3::facepalm:

Haney by his own admission rehydrates at least 20lbs

Mauricio said he rehydrated 20lb or 24lbs after the weigh in

Haney looks like the living dead here. As drained as any fighter I've seen

    https://ibb.co/KsZj64c

Kambosos looks pretty healthy on the scales

There's a reason why Lopez and Haney have been saying for years how difficult it is for them to make 135 and how they have no intentions of hanging around at the weight after getting their hands on the titles and there's also a reason why Loma talks of moving down once he's done so and why Kambosos says he has no problem making weight or has has any intention of moving up.

The only reason Kambosos and Lopez were able to win three (or four) belts in one fell swoop is because Loma won them all individually the hard way, in his third division, a division full of giants, all against fighters way bigger, longer and heavier than him, and on the road, and when he fought for the fourth one his opponent was way naturally bigger than him too, and as with when he won the WBC, it was in their backyard, only this time the ref and all three judges were from their country too.

No one else in the P4P top 10 is routinely giving away the kind of physical advantages he is in terms of weight and reach, let alone against the quality of opposition he's facing or the amount of punchers he's fought, punchers who are huge punchers and legit KO artists at his third weight class and obviously power is magnified against fighters fighting outside their natural weight class who you're much bigger than.

For example, how long do you think Lopez and Haney would last against one of the most gifted and biggest punchers at 147 Jaron Ennis at their third weight class? That's what Loma's doing at 135. And they wouldn't be giving away the physical advantages at 147 in terms of weight and reach, especially Haney with his 72'' reach and his weight, Loma is at 135. They'd have to go up to at least 154 bare minimum to do that. Haney coming in at 155 (if not more) when the top welters are coming in at 160-162-ish.

Here he is next to Crawford but look at his face later in the vid (0:52) and how drained he looks
