In this thread, @Badbot pretends that Opetaia hasn't tried fighting the likes of Zurdo and CBS for the last year or two. Boxing fans really are strange.

In fairness, would you want to fight Opetaia?

The guy is a bloodthirsty psychopath.

No, I did not pretend anything. I was simply wrong about Opetaia and CBS. What I did was defend Zurdo, as he is actively chasing unifications, yet gets criticized and labeled as a duck.

Jai said he heard Squeo's jaw crack when he landed that hook

This fight should never have happened. I'm not basing that on Squeo's ranking or the talent disparity between Jai and him when I say that I'm specifically referring to the size disparity.

I'm not blaming Jai or suggesting it was a weight bully beating up on a much naturally smaller fighter type situation because it wasn't. I'm mad at Squeo's handlers because he's clearly not a CW and even on the morning of the fight there was like a 20lb weight difference between him and Jai and you simply cannot afford to be giving up that much weight, size, and length to someone as talented, skilled and powerful as Jai, let alone whilst also giving up everything else he was.

Squeo seems like a good guy, very respectful as Jai himself even said, and he came to fight and gave it his best shot even though it was a completely insurmountable task for him

Jake Paul apparently ready to play spoiler to keep Opetaia from collecting the other CW belts.

Per this Fox Sports article, Paul "has opened discussions with two of the division’s three champions – Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez, who holds the WBO and WBA titles, and Badou Jack, the WBC champ."

    https://www.foxsports.com.au/boxing...a/news-story/dd755cd4c5083154c57f85acabf0929e

If Zurdo or Jack jumps at the $$ vs. Paul, we can only pray the winner mans up and faces Opetaia next.

But if Zurdo, after he dispatches his 39-year-old WBA mandatory on the 28th, says anything other than "I'll see you next, Jai" or "I'll see you right after I take the easy $$ off Paul, Jai," I'll be happy to call him a chicken-livered coward. (Sorry, friend Badbot... ;) )

I’d like to see Opetaia fight Paul.

Because then the world will not have to put up with Paul anymore.
