Just watched the Ennis fight tonight and kinda can't believe the criticism this guy is getting. Exciting fighter, doesn't care about defence, fast hands, digs, yeah, I'll follow his career with interest. With regards 'weight bully', if a fighter can make a weight, why wouldn't they? Guys gonna have to move up for sure, but if you can make the weight, make the weight. Its all in the game...

 

I've been as big a critic as anyone. I'm a fan, I'll follow his career with interest as well. The point is boxing as a boxing fan, he doesn't care about defence - that's exactly the point of a critic like me. He's going to get splattered at 154 if he doesn't improve that. He isn't doing as well as the hype suggests, not even close. A fan should be concerned about his obvious flaws and the unwarrented hype that might keep him overly confident and a disaster waiting to happen.
Re: the weight bullying issue, it's part of the game if you need that advantage. A supposed elite fighter shouldn't need that advantage and shouldn't be pretending that he is ready for anybody in other weight divisions. We've seen plenty of fighters look ordinary once they fight at closer to their natural weight division. People say it to point out that the hype isn't deserved yet. I kinda can't believe you don't understand this.
