    Looking forward to this one — got the potential to be a real domestic classic. If Liddard is as good as he believes he is, then he should be able to outbox Conway. But if he’s not at that level yet, Kieren’s not the type to just hand over his titles.

    Really solid fight either way, and Conway’s no token champion — he’s come a long way. For Liddard to win, he’s going to have to prove he’s got genuine world-class potential. I see it as a genuine 50–50, with the edge to Conway based on experience — but if Liddard can walk his talk, who knows.

    I have always thought George Liddard is overrated as a boxer and not as good as he thinks he is.

    On paper this is a classic York Hall Friday night fight ! Think Liddard will lose tonight and then I guess the interest from Matchroom will drop.

    Going forward, Matchroom will use him as an opponent.

    He's looked impressive in some fights and bang average in others. We'll definitely see what his level is tonight.

    I think Jimmy Sains is the much better Middleweight prospect.

    I like Conway, good fighter and comes across likeable. Surprised he’s not been pushed more by Matchroom tbh. Seems to have been used more as an opponent against the likes of Cisshoko and Ammo Williams.

    The main issue I’ve seen with him is I always feel he has another gear in him. I can remember when he made Cissokho take a knee in their fight but seemed hesitant to put his foot on the gas & ended up losing a split decision. He could have hit Cissokho again whilst he was about to go down and would have likely finished him.

    Liddard comes across your typical Essex twerp who’s been knocking around with the Sims lot.
