I'd rather him than Diamante every day of the week and twice on Sunday!

You can translate what Wardley said to ‘I don’t want to fight Itauma, I’ll only fight him as a last resort’.

    I don’t blame him…

This blob went the distance with AJ, who had no reason to be timid vs a blob bum just because he lost an SD to Usyk. Fact is this blobby bum had never even been knocked down before let alone stopped, so stopping him was impressive despite what the critics are pretending.

Sure, but he's also never really been tested. He's a terrible fighter with zero power, he got a gift against Jerry Forest proof he's terrible at fighting southpaws, couldn't stop an absolute bum like Pavel Sour. He did luck out in facing Whyte and Joshua when neither were in the best physical shape or headspace.

I think that's being a bit unfair mate. He can only fight who they put in front of him and he did it inside of 6 rounds.

He had no reason, but AJ is a mental midget and didn't press the action, that's VERY APPARENT TO EVERYONE WHO WATCHED THE MATCH!

He's not the best opponent, but at least it's not Paul or Rico.

Who would you like to see him against next?

@CST80 Agree with all the comments re Franklin - a weak gatekeeper at best that struggles against part timers to journeymen.

Apart from Usyk. Which fighter do you think gives Itauma the hardest fight?

At the end of the day, Franklin took multiple right hands from Joshua and didn't move, and Itauma has just put his lights out with an absolutely magical uppercut, technically perfect and it capped off a punch perfect performance. Not sure what else a 21 year old needs to do for people to get excited about his potential.

That's a no contest! But that's also the equivalent of a who's hotter between Kathy Griffin and Sarah Jessica Parker.:sisi1

Lets take a breath. He still needs to fight someone with a decent offense. Hrgovic would have been a good test, another guy with a great chin but more offensively minded than Franklin. Three fights ago Parker would have been a test but I think he tees off on big Joe now. Del will keep on throwing but is made for a fighter like Ituama. Moses beats Chisora and this version of Wilder in the same night. Its a headache. How does he get from this level to the elite level? I think Kabayel would be the ultimate litmus test. Lets get it on...

I know you didn't ask me! But, if i had to pick, I'd say Hrgovic. Someone tough with genuine skill.

I think Hrgovic is a bit **** tbh. All he throws is 1-2, and while he has a decent enough chin I think we can establish Itauma has power. We need someone a bit more skilled to take him into deep waters.
