He didn't press the action? He never landed any clean right hands on him all fight? Moses showed all it takes is one punch.

I don't know, the HW division is in pretty dire shape at the moment. Probably Kabayel, possibly Zhang, Hrgovic, Wardley, Parker and Vianello.

One punch... after he landed like 50 clean head shots.

Was just about to say that I think Kabayel is the only fighter in this current gen that could give Itauma an interesting fight.

I don't think he ever fights Fury, Joshua, Wilder, or Usyk unless one of the former 3 needs a desperate cash out before unceremoniously retiring. I don't think Wardley or Dubois give him any trouble whatsoever. Everyone else you can think of has a significant flaw in their game that Itauma just simply doesn't have.

I think Itaumas first career loss will come against someone from one of the post-Soviet nations who has less than 5 pro fights right now.

Not much to pick from to be honest. Usyk is just so head and shoulders above everyone.

Dubois would be a great fight but too early IMO.

Kabayel is waiting for Usyk to be stripped,Usyk tied up,Wardley tied up,Fury tied up,Joshua re inventing and no doubt a warm up then Fury. What Itauma needs is a fresh aggressive opponent which will be hard to find so instead go for a big tough offensive fighter like Zhang Parker Hrgovic Sanchez,no disrespect to Allen Chisora Wilder but them fights at this point in time would show us nothing more about Itauma. Franklin has no offence to speak of and never posed any threat to Itauma, let’s be real here !

Franklin looked like a walrus in there. Stats say he's 6'3, but he's probably more around 6'-6'1.

Once I saw he was 25 lb heavier than vs AJ this outcome wasn't too surprising.

Itauma needs and deserves to be taken very seriously . He builds this reputation on facts and any doubts so far are on speculations .

    Great athlete .

If you can see what the kid has then, you are either pretending or lying to yourself.
The kid has elite composure and he can make adjustments on the fly, the feints are beautiful and he chooses his shots well, he isn’t the finished article but I don’t think anyone is saying he is but he above and beyond any other heavyweight at his age in the last decade I would say. It’s a typical reaction to a performance like that against a fighter that was expected to be durable, he was overweight he didn’t look well trained, I’m not saying that’s not the case, but he was getting knocked over regardless. That argument would have held more weight had his fitness played a part here, I’m not saying it’s irrelevant but he got it poured on him from the first round, the first knockdown in the third round was beautiful in slow motion, and if you think he isn’t something special with as much potential as anyone in the last decade then you should just watch that twice and tell he hasn’t got something, it’s funny when you hear some Americans talk like he’s hyped and he hasn’t done anything, which is kind of ironic considering how hyped the likes of Michael Hunter and Anderson were for a short while, they showed nothing like the talent of Moses but out of desperation of the division moving back home across the pond to the uk, Usyk is obviously the reigning champion and king of the division but there’s no American fighters waiting in the wings.
So it’s not unfair to say that Moses has been overhyped, because there’s a narrative been built that he should be fighting Usyk and what ever you believe the outcome would be he has earned his shot, but the narrative has every right to exist when you consider that Rico is fighting Usyk for the belts.
It could easily be said that his defence isn’t great and he takes shots, but it’s fair to point out that he is a rookie heavyweight, and he should have flaws.
But he’s hurting everyone he touches and it can be seen on the expressions of his opponents, there is actually shock at the power and intensity, and any game plan they had is out the window the moment they get touched.

i thought same thing. Time to retire. He had man boobs. Doesn't look like he's done a single pushup in 2 years.

Despite all that Itauma does look like he could be taken advantage of with someone with a really good right hook. As Franklin connected a few times with that punch.

I can't think of someone with a really good right hook off hand but that punch would cause him some issues.

Yeah, it looked like he suffered from Gynecomastia.

260 lb on Franklin's frame is nothing but severe obesity.

Had he at least made an effort to enter the ring at 230 lb, it could've probably been a bit more competitive.

Just watched this, itauama has very nice speed and power and impressive he just demolished Franklin.

On the negative side, it looked like he was getting tired there and he was starting to get timed, interesting to see where he goes from here he's so young he has all the time in the world right now.

Also American heavyweight boxing is truly horrendous right now.

THIS!. I couldn't agree more. Look at the Whyte vs Itauma Match. Whyte was in excellent shape he looked lean. He did like 1 round. He should of been in the Ring in about 2 months he had literally no work at all and was in shape. I don't get why they don't immediately correct a wrong with more rounds. The problem for struggles is with RUST. Waiting another 1 year for a match isn't going to fix any fighter who struggles. It's the dumbest strategy ever...Whyte is just an example, but this dumb ass strategy has sidelined many of careers. Your a fighter get yer ass in there...

Yea after KOing Whyte why not throw someone else in immediately while you're waiting for a fight with Franklin or Hrgy
