It's almost a shame for the presenters and commentators on DAZN who on fight night have to tell the viewers about the huge interest in this event - while the arena is almost empty
Even worse, I've been whispered in my ear that DAZN is planning Lauren Price vs Mikaela Mayer later this year, likely PPV.
Haha surely not. Would be without doubt the worst bought PPV of all time. Surely DAZN don’t have the brass neck for that.
Four boxing cards advertised on channel 5 at end of Inter v Fluminese match for subscribers to watch - three of them are on Box Office with no mention of that. 75% are on Box Office - send for them now
I wouldn't watch that if it was on YouTube, let alone a bloody PPV. If you can get women's boxing on the sub then it really is game over
That lucky lanky rich Essex fooker will be plundering a young female in a hotel in Manchester on Saturday night.
In a perverse way it'll tell DAZN what average punters actually think of women's boxing thanks to the likely PPV numbers. This might be an elite women's fight but it'll still be a hard watch. The downside is, they'll shift women's fights back onto men's cards again. Surprised Sky aren't trying to put it on, but of course if it's PPV maybe they will do anyway.
Besides Mayer vs Price there will be more title fights on the card. I know Eubank Jr vs Benn II will be available on Sky Box Office.
There is a female fight on the Matchroom Card on Saturday - you don't even need to ask who it is. Clown size shoes in her hotel room again on Sat evening.
Think this Club World Cup will reduce the cohort of potential subscribers in the UK to a handful of people. The constant adverts to subscribe to DAZN during the football should reel in a few thousand but they won't be back when they find Sheeraz for example and the other advertised fights are all on Box Office. People fleeced once never come back and DAZN UK could quickly become Dodo UK.
So there is a non PPV card this weekend https://boxrec.com/en/event/922589 It is hardly one you'd stay in to watch. I cannot really get excited by Jack Catteral. It'll be good to see Pat Brown, the rest is basically dross.
Hearn banging on about Matchroom’s big rebrand and it’s a new logo On a side note, he’s been on YouTube every day for the past week slating Shalom. Didn’t Hearn used to call people out for being bitter/haters?
