Am I right in think Kabayel v Knyba will be in my standard DAZN package .... or is it only on the Ultimate?
Yeah, we had some great British fights which we simply don't get now and none of these were PPV, off memory, either. Matthews v Crolla Fowler v Fitzy Eggington v Cheeseman Degale v Groves Bellew v Cleverly (LHW). Just to name 5 off the top of my head. I would add, although an Aussie, Katsidis v Mitchell in the above list. This content is protected Chuck "PrizeFighter" into the mix for those unheralded up and comers... We probably won't see nights like this ever again which is quite sad really.
Well said. Whenever I try to speak boxing with my mates or people at work now they don’t even know the fight I’m mentioning is happening. Regarding those years on Sky, me and my pals were round at one of the lads houses literally every few weeks chucking in a few quid and watching the entire cards with plenty of beer. Nowadays, even if it is a good main event, the undercard is unknown prospects and women. Casuals have moved on to darts these days. I still love boxing and it’s my favourite sport but like you say, it’s hard to keep the same enthusiasm for it. 6/7 years ago I was obsessed. I’d be buzzing all week for boxing on Sky as I knew I’d be getting a great night. Would always be on IFL after work finding out who’d said what & what rumours were going around. I used to attend shows almost monthly and had to pick & choose which ones to just watch on the tele rather than attending as the options were that plentiful. Now we’ve just got a scattered product full of chancers, camera-hoggers and ‘content creators.’ British boxing is down the swanny as Hearn & Warren sold out to Saudi and Sky are out the game.
The atmosphere at the weigh in seemed very good. If QP get this right, they could get Germany back in a big way. They have the German that lost to the Uzbek in the Olympic Semi finals on the card. So another potential heavyweight
Brick-Top will give zero ****s about Germany. He’s looking to do what King did in the 80s – lock up the heavyweight division once Usyk moves on. While Fast Car has been pushing Matchroom Global, Warren’s gone old-school and stacked the division. Control the belts and the contenders, and in the only division that’s ever really mattered, location barely matters. As long as Itauma and the rest live up to expectations, QP will pretty much have the heavyweight scene tied up for the next decade.
I agree with this but if Kabayel has sold 13k in 1.5 days. He could be a stadium seller in Germany, so if the Saudi money is drying up. Building something around Kabayel in Germany could be needed
