So the exact same thing he’s been battering Azim and Shalom for then. Lower than a snakes belly.

I'm not convinced DAZN made the right call in making boxing the central proposition of their platform.

If value resides in retention of subscribers, a sport based on a league format offers consistency of product. Fans know their preferred sides will be playing every week.

Boxing is more ad hoc, depending on various stakeholders cooperating to get cards made, rivalry and conflicting interests often getting in the way.

A platform like Netflix will always be able to jump in and cherry pick fights with wider appeal, leaving DAZN catering to the hardcore fanbase which is always going to be smaller than you'd think their model requires?

Just got charged for an annual subscription despite having cancelled.

Looks like a long game of email tennis with Dazn awaits.

Well said. If DAZN wasn't a multinational company, generating revenue from different sports around the world and was purely UK based, they would have folded years ago.

Their Trustpilot reviews haven't improved much either. If you just read the first dozen or so reviews, it shows How many people have been stung with their unescapable subscription model, Their digital Venus fly trap! Talk about burning bridges with potential long term customers for short gains.

It’s always a relief for me when a fight is announced on Netflix, as like most of the world, I have it anyway

I’ve always said the idea behind dazn is great but I maintain the opinion that in practice it just doesn’t cut it, too greedy not enough content throughout the year and too many PPV’s

As far as I’m concerned boxing on Netflix is more than welcome-i work a lot of nights so I’ll watch the late/US fight cards whilst at work, with 6/7 other lads on shift- maybe spread over a couple of locations but that’s no issue when it’s on Netflix because everyone’s got it on their phones & tablets, DAZN a different story-worth noting that out of the 7 boxing fans on my shift we were all dazn subscribers early days but that’s fallen off to the point that there’s only, yeh none left as subscribers

Send one or two messages on the live chat, if they don’t get it sorted then screenshot it all and claim a refund/disputed payment on your credit card.

I'm hearing that Chisora v Wilder will be PPV on DAZN ......
Let that sink in. A plodding gatekeeper with 13 career losses (3 to Fury) and a man with 4 losses in his last 6 fights (also arguably lost 3 times to Fury). Both 'washed up' and over 40 years old.

Fury, himself very possibly washed up, is making a "come-back" on Netflix a week later, presumably included in the Netflix standard package.

Where do I sign? This is up there with the Thriller in Manila in terms of pure technical boxing.

Mate, Netflix isn’t some magical cheap alternative. Once you strip away the marketing, the cost isn’t miles off DAZN: £5.99 with ads, £12.99 ad-free, £18.99 premium – and if boxing nudges you up tiers or into bolt-ons, you’re basically paying DAZN money with a different logo. Plus they’ll try and fleece you with the one-household rule if you use it across different properties.

DAZN Standard at £15 (or whatever it is) is the rip-off if you’re solely watching for British fights. The £9.99 add-on for the Ultimate “12 shows” is actually decent value, because standalone you’re looking at £24.99. Although going from Teo v Shakur to Wilder v Chisora as the 4th “PPV” of 2026 is stretching it.

I'd like to be able to dip in and out with DAZN depending on the schedule, like I do with Sky Sports (Now TV) Netflix is quite easy to quit when you want to as well. I'm always reluctant to go anywhere near DAZN because of the way they try so hard to keep you locked in.

Yeah well I'm not here to sell Netflix as a great deal, I think people can make their own minds up on whether it offers value - i am working on the assumption that Netflix has other stuff apart from sport/boxing that might have encouraged people to sign up, or alternatively to cancel.
I think most people here probably have had Netflix before they put boxing on it. Netflix isn't taking advantage of boxing fans really. Also, in my experience, Netflix is easy to cancel.

I think DAZN is a fair bit worse. And having to pay £24.99 a month as the "escape route" out of the £14.99 rip off deal is probably the worst thing I've heard, bordering on criminal.
But I won't do that. I just hope the cancellation happens when my year is up.
And for anyone who has coughed up the extra, I hope you get a few decent PPV worthy fights for the extra 120 quid each year, rather than Conor Benn and Dereck Chisora.

Should be quite straight forward for Conlan, his opponent is unbeaten (19-0) but with 0 KO's, plus he's 33 years old and hasn't fought any one of note.
