Dave was on Talksport a couple of weeks back (rightly) describing Conor Benn as the best matched boxer ever. Well Dave, you’ve just been given a headline fight against Hrgovic after getting pummelled by an inferior fighter in Makhmudov and then having a 10 second run out against a total pudding. Pretty generous match making there.

It's funny but it's also good to see the promoters haven't gone back to old ways without Saudi money. Maybe Allen is the latest addition to the Matchroom Talent Agency stable and fights elsewhere

That's a really good learning fight for just his 6 fight to face someone that durable and experienced. And It would be some statement of his power if he knocks him out early.

 

I think most people actually want to see Dave do well, but this pattern of fighting stiffs then jumping straight into world class hoping for a different outcome is only going to fast-track him to CTE.

Dubois and Zhang couldn’t move Hrgovic, but somehow Dave’s meant to? Feels like another beatdown on the cards waiting to happen.
