Another ode to Bellew

The was a lad called Bellew
A good boxer with slightly odd nips
He took on Usyk
Who was just to fast and too slick
But still got home safe to his kids.

 

I think people are missing one big thing
Usyk will be even better at Heavyweight,
Usyk only struggles vs mobile men with a lot of upper body movement, like Bellew, Hunter and Briedis, at Heavyweight they are all slow and immobile, Usyk will just pop in and out and outbox everyone.
Even tonight, the win for Usyk was inevitable. He conserved his energy while Bellew wasted all of his early rounds to go for the KO, Usyk just broke him down slowly and after round 4 I saw a KO happening as Usyk was getting into his groove.

 

It was easy. Not hurt, nothing.

The Usyk-Briedis fight was a real barn-burner. Usyk had real danger there. This fight was one guy setting up the other. No danger to Usyk at all.

 

Nah. Usyk has done this several times. Did it against Mchunu and Hunter and bashed on here by a lot of the same people. Feels opponent out(especially if they've got an awkward style like Bellew)

 

a big heavyweight like Joshua doesnt have the speed or execution to do so. Bellew is lightyears faster.

As much as I hate that british juice head who looks like stuffed sausage I favor him . It’s like 80/20 fight .

 

He was the number two cruiserweight all along. Usyk proved to be the best. As I expected Bellew was far more competitive against Usyk than Gassiev, who got carried and Briedis, who barely won a round.

 

Respectful stuff, good to see. Bellew is a decent lad.

Lol people clearly haven't watched a lot of Usyk's fights. He always takes his time giving away easy rounds to most opponents (except Gassiev because he saw Gassiev as a massive threat). The fight was always gonna go this way.

 

Well, tbh bellew did a hell of a job, and had a hell of a plan, and he did a hell of an execution of this plan. He did a very good fight, he had his chances to be fair.

 

It's a much more fascinating matchup than you think -- especially if Joshua struggles with Usyk's jab and movement, and just walks forward and can't get Usyk out of there in the first five or six rounds, starts to miss and fall short with his jab, with Usyk then ramping up the pace and the pressure from the seventh onwards.

The above is a very real possibility if Usyk is still there at the halfway mark and Joshua gasses.
