Oleksandr the Great has run out of worlds to conquer at Cruiserweight.

Time for him to move up and vanquish the big boys. :sisi1

I think protocol is after any sort of stoppage loss the fighter is mandated to go to a hospital get a scan to check for brain bleeding.

Yea man, we can do that if it happens....but no KD bets or something, simply a WHO WILL WIN ....you say Wilder, i say Usyk.

The big difference is that Usyk wouldn't be backing Joshua up and he wouldn't fight as recklessly. Usyk's chin proved good tonight, but even a glancing blow from Joshua and Wilder is all it takes to drop someone like a sack of potatoes. Povetkin, who has a good chin and is pretty durable looked surprised at how quickly his body froze when Joshua touched him clean to the body. Joshua stamina could be better, but he does seem to recuperate very well and quickly. Wilder on the other hand has very good stamina and so far has been able to throw is right hand with reckless abandon without ever gassing, so it would be dangerous for Usyk to try and wait for Wilder to gas, since it most likely won't happen.

That said if Usyk works on his defense he can definitely bring some excitement to the division, since I think he's definitely good enough to be a top 5 heavyweight and can produce some good fights.

Ward might as well announce a comeback fight against Usyk after this.

I dont even really recall Usyk landing a single meaningful punch with effect until the 8th, whereas Bellew did in all of the first 6 rounds. I mean Bellew was shockingly landing clean, powerful and meaningful punches in every round..... Begs the question: Bellew underrated or Usyk overrated? Clearly much more the latter I think.

What if they made Usyk vs. Povetkin at HW? Should be a decent money maker for both men?

I actually think if i had to choose wilder would be a harder fight for usyk than aj would be because he's awkward and is more athletic and faster than aj.

Bro this is boxing, Usyk started slow then methodically broke Bellew down to a highlight-reel KO, something few (including probably you) didn't expect to do. Good fight, enjoy the moment and that you could watch a real ATG at work, no need to be sour.

Usyk would be giving away 2 or 3 stone in weight, 8 to 10 inches in reach, 4 to 5 inches in height and untold levels of power in every punch against Joshua even if Joshua comes in at his lightest of 244lbs.

It would be very difficult for Usyk to get past Joshua’s straight punching style and it’s likely he walks into a right trying to do so. Joshua could land a fifth of the punches and do 4 times the damage to Usyk

Good as he is it’s a step too far

I had it 5-2 Usyk but will watch it again. 3rd round could have gone anyway. Usyk’s fluttering jab was setting up everything from the start of the 3rd and every round Bellew was gradually backtracking again and again. As soon as the 3rd round ended I knew Usyk was going to stop him.
