He's a great adapter , ive always said so. I felt he lost a lot of the early rounds to HHunter as well but it doesb't matter because of how dominat he gets after every round. His abiltity to adapt to his opponent his exceptional.
Only size can beat that man. At CW hes unbeatable

Unless they truly belive their opponent has nothing to trouble them? And who knows maybee he needed to feel his power? (I do think bellew earned his openings tho). Do you think he looked troubled? Do you think he looked hurt at any point? I dont think he did, i think bellew looked troubled towards the end of rnd4 but i dont think he was hurt either, he was broken by the draining realisation that he was facing a superior talent, and in the back of his mind he knew it was his last fight. Respect.

I have no doubt that you know more than me about usyk and his career, probably boxing to lol.
But ive seen enough of him and iam oppinionated enough to disagree, without being disrespectful, i dont think usyk has ever massively adapted his style for anyone, he hasnt had to because he controls the range/distance so well, with that new emerging thing of beauty that is 'ukrainian footwork'.
I think dillian whyte was right saying he should of roughed him up and unsettled him more. Respect.

Not spot on. Bellew was countering withh straight rights down the pipe and body shots. Also, his defense was as good as I've ever seen. Had bellew up 4-3 at the stoppage.

usyk, looked good, but he didnt look particularly hard to get to, not a devastating puncher, accuracy looked ok. all in all it was a very good performance against a decent opponent. but, its hardly a p4p making performance. i think he could do ok against the right comp at hw, but he gets busted up by aj and wilder.

Legit scorecard, i had it 3-3 + 1 even round after 7, BUT Usyk was still beating Bellew up.
He already hurt him in the fourth and fifth round, both times Bellew was nearly going down, his legs were wobbling. Usyk knew he would take him out later on, he was calm and doing his job.

Bellew was +550 at the bookmakers after 6 or 7 rounds, so even with the solid scorecards everyone out there knew Usyk would stop him.

As i wrote: The fourth round showed Usyk he can hurt Bellew badly. So he only had to continue with his work, the stoppage was inevitable.

Had Usyk up by a round or two at the time of the stoppage. Usyk was never in serious trouble and was never completely outclassed even in the rounds he lost. He had a look and came on strong in last 3-4 rounds leading up to the stoppage. a theme in his career... Has happened in several fights already. Tbh. I think some were swayed by the biased commentary and their expectations of Usyk. Bellew did good but he was never completely control of the fight. He won some early feeling out rounds that's it.

Usyk was catching bellew more down the stretch but he was in no way beating up Bellew imo. It was a good fight and like I've said for who knows how long leading up to this fight it was going to be a compeitive fight. Bellew did awesome and it made for a good fight!

    Wilder lol

If Spilzka or whatever the fook he's called can match him punch for punch I'm sure Usyk can... Same Spilzka who was battered by Bellew as an amateur incidentally! Wilder should worry about Fury first... Cos I personally think its not going to go well for him! Don't mention that donkey alongside Usyk..

i get it, i get it, usyk and loma are gods among men.
i was talking boxing with a man who sounds genuinely interested in reality.

I think that's down to two things:

    1. Bellew tends to be a bit maligned, but he isn't a bad boxer at all. He's got good timing and decent fundamentals. He's better suited for trying to live off the back foot against Usyk early than someone like Gassiev ever could be capable of doing. Which segues into the second reason...

    2. Usyk isn't that hard to out-box in the early going. Hunter did it, Mchunu did it, and Bredis I thought did a pretty decent of job at it when they fought. Usyk tends to ease into the fight, and someone who can live off the backfoot will typically have more success early than someone who tries to press forward and cause Usyk to focus instantly on the matter at hand.
