Think it would have been DAZN tweeting if that was the case not Hearn.

Considering Whytes ppv numbers are driven by him having the right opponent I would think Whyte probably knows his next opponent isn't one which will generate big numbers on Sky Box Office so is instead going with the guarantee.

I'm pretty sure it is a thing

Long term DAZN must have plans to be the number 1 sports service in the UK right?

SKY wont want that so at times will combat any efforts they make

They will and I did say sky will see them as a threat its just with no sports rights up for grabs anytime soon DAZN can't offer a sky sports subscriber something to make them leave sky sports.

SKY have also released the boxing schdule for the rest of year and amazingly it is better than what DAZN have lined up

Killing them off before they even get going?

Wonder if it's a coincidence the price increase coincides with this being announced ?? The Deluxe Pudding doesn't get out of bed for training camp unless he's been guaranteed 7 figures for his next date with destiny.
Only half joking because it always going to happen but don't think anyone thought it would happen quite this abruptly.

Looks like it and considering a couple of months ago it the Sky boxing schedule was a a wasteland things are picking up and fast - good US cards from Top Rank with legit names and now decent domestic on regular Sky Sports, made up with that lot.

I guess you to ask which fighters or fights can drive people to pay for a DAZN sub and is there any on the sky schedule which could?

Josh Taylor? But no network even wanted to screen Taylor in his unification fight.

Warrington and Whyte will probably do more for new signups than the sky schedule even though that schedule is better for the hardcore fan.

The other problem DAZN are creating almost unknowingly is as soon as any fighters gets too big for DAZN, them and Hearn will sod them off for PPV to make most money, someone might have ten fights on DAZN building them up, then 11th on Sky Box Office and Matchroom

Decent domestic, like Fury Hammer headlining & Eubank in another sideways fight? It’s mental how if / when Hearn churned this out you lot on here berated it but now Adam Smith is the front man it’s “decent”

But without the casual fanbase build that you would get via sky sports. It you want to be a ppv fighter stay away from matchroom basically giving Frank and sky a better chance of getting the next superstar

It's decent compared to being charged £8 for nothing like DAZN are doing. It's decent compared to how things were a couple of months ago when it looked like boxing on Sky was more or less finished.

Sky gets a big pass from a lot of UK sports fans, because they see a Sky Sports subscription as 'automatic'. They mainly buy it for the football / cricket / F1, and Sky's non-PPV boxing is seen as a bonus thrown in.

I'd love to dump the bland and overly expensive Sky Sports for a beefed up DAZN with first choice of the Premier League rights, but right now I think I'm in a very large minority.

Cor, you must be blinded by your hatred of Hearn / Matchroom if you think Saturday’s card or their Liverpool one are nothing compared to the might of “Headline” Hughie Fury & Lewis Ritson vs. TBC or Eubank Jr. vs. Sven ELBIR.
