I know it’s the new ‘please leave me alone Koogs’ joke but I haven’t seen it on here yet so... Game. Changed.
I've cancelled immediately. There's no proper fights on it and nothing big coming up either. They big up documentaries that you can just find on Youtube anyway
£8 a month for basically Saturday Night Fight Night lol, any fighter that can get PPV ie Joshua, Whyte or anyone who emerges will be on Sky as that is where the money is
I just cancelled, the volume of content is just so poor. All the fight replays are straight on YouTube anyway.. only any good if you watch live. I’ve watched about 3 shows live since I’ve had it (about 7 months) what a complete flop
I remember people being happy they left sky. I was doubtful. Is anyone still happy? Not one card that sky couldn't do so far.
Thinking about it again, it’s quite a hefty jump from £1.99 to £7.99. Surely given the current content £4.99 would be more appropriate. Classic Eddie in his interviews saying “I know the price point and fans will be happy” probably didn’t help the reaction on here and social media. Can’t see many people happy with it/expecting it to go that high given the limited content available.
Scheduled shows until the end of October 4 September Lara vs Warrington, with some interest in the undercard 10 September Hrgovic vs Radonjic, with no undercard 11 September Lejarranga vs Charrat, with no undercard 1 October Pattera vs Boschiero 9 October Smith vs Fowler, brilliant undercard 15 October Estrada vs Gonzalez, no undercard So basically your paying £16 for Warrington and Fowler. It will be a no from me
The amount of people on Twitter that never seemed to have grasped DAZN doesn't get you Joshua and the other Sky PPV fights is hilarious!
I am enjoying the "how thick are people not realising the £1.99 was an introductory price" Well yeah, you can understand that and also feel a 400% increase isn't justified for their current content
OK, so people are suggesting AJ will join DAZN. SO if he does, A. Price stays the same and you get his fights B. The price is increased to cover his value (how much too?) C. He joins as a DAZN PPV fighter (which kills the whole subscription only concept) Which would it be?
This was always going to be one the big problem for Eddie/DAZN. How do you explain to even hardened Matchroom casuals that they have to pay £8 per month and another £25 for AJ (who will be staying on Sky after Usyk fight no doubt ) even Whyte is apparently trying to stay on box office.. On top of that, they are going to start seeing Sky signing some of Matchrooms fighters that they know like Marshall, Jonas and Fury. Even Johnny Essex’s will start to think that Eddie is pulling a fast one.
