I'm a huge fan of Josh Taylor, I've been hyping him as long as I've hyped Prograis, may the best man win, and I lean Taylor.

Would it ****ing kill you to hit the CapsLock button once in a while?

Prograis is gonna cause a lot of problems for Taylor simply because of his movements. Taylor is a lot better than Flanagan but he is a little stiff in there and he does get hit.

Prograis looks like the slight favorite over Taylor right now.

Prograis shorts 90% of his jabs. If Taylor, or any other opponent steps into their jab, it's a winnable fight for them.

Prograis was a bit lethargic on offense. He could have probably stopped him had he tried. He was shorting most of his jabs, but then not landing much in terms of flush power upstairs. It seemed like a lazy performance to me.

Wasn't quite the Prograis dazzling stoppage destruction I predicted. But I'm going to primarily give grudging respect to Flanagan after years of rooting for him to lose. I admit: he's world class. He's a really good outside boxer. Has an educated southpaw jab. Knows how to walk aggressive guys into his straight left. Uses a good guard and doesn't expose himself. Flanagan was hard for Prograis to find. And despite Flanagan being hard to land against guess what? Prograis managed to find him often enough, won every round, and almost stopped him. Very good performance against a very good opponent. The guy has unreal speed and instinctive talent.

I think we learned Prograis's neither a true knockout artist or finisher however. Maybe he can be a better finisher, but tonight after the knockdown he wasn't sure how to create an opening and hurt Flanagan again. He then stayed on cruise control and was content to land fast straight lefts here and there going away. I just think if Prograis was a true puncher and finisher he would've stopped even a world class technical opeator in Flanagan.

Interesting fight. I thought Prograis boxed well, I watched the fight & read some fan reviews and stuff and appears to be a mixed reaction to his performance.

I thought he showed some different wrinkles in there. Flanagan struggles to set up his offence, he's a counter puncher & when he did get an opportunity to do that he done it it spurts. But Prograis refused to commit too much early on, he challenged Flanagan to do something different & he couldn't. Prograis knew if Flanagan came out of his comfort zone he would punish him, and if he remained in his comfort zone (waiting to counter) he would have a low punch output as he couldn't set anything up so was out boxed.

That's the most I've been impressed with Regis Prograis, ironic as he's considered a power puncher & not everyone is sold on the performance as he didn't stop Flanagan but he showed patience and that he could mix his game up. This tournament is warming up nicely.

A word on Baranchyk. He's raw. But he can fight, I think Taylor, should he beat Martin counters the hell out of him & punishes him for all the mistakes he makes but he's not someone to underestimate. Congratulations to him on becoming the IBF Champ. Good effort Yigit, just didn't have the physical tools or power to keep Ivan off or respect you.

Taylor-Martin next week. I'll be in attendance, Taylor needs a good performance. Prograis IMO deserves some hype now, he's just confirmed why he is the number 1 seed. Well done Rougarou.

I can't really disagree. I do think Taylor is levels above Flanagan and a lot more rounded, also hits harder. But Prograis boxed really well & because he has power you have to really set you're offence up or you are open to being countered by him.

Nice performance, I have no issue NOW with him being considered favourite as that performance justifies the tag IMO. I think Taylor can, and will beat him as he is still improving but Prograis is better than I credited him for, he deserves all the credit right now.

Prograis-Relikh will be intriguing as Relikh isn't a straight up and down fighter like Flanagan, he has a more unique style so that will tell us even more but Prograis was good tonight, congrats to him for dealing with the pressure as there were questions asked after his last performance.

He beat Breidis Prescott in four rounds, an old shopworn Prescott but that was only his 11th fight I think. There are a lot of talents coming through at 140 with Dadashev & Ergashev mixed with WBSS guys and Jose Ramirez. A lot of differing styles too, could be interesting over the next 18-24 months.
