Great fight. The chins on these guys. I had it 114-112 Ortiz, but several close rounds, to the extent that I wouldn't have been cross with a draw.
Ortiz took last 4 rounds on my card to seal the win.
Ortiz is really quite hittable and open to that straight right, but I love the mentality when he gets knocked down and gets back up and goes for it. More please.

Now Al Turki is saying that Boha deserves a rematch with Ortiz instead of an Ortiz-Crawford fight.
I agree and I hope it happens sooner rather than later. First of all the ex champ deserves it and for us fans it will be another great fight.

Ok, so I missed the rbr but I did score the fight:

    1 Bohachuk 10-8
    2 Ortiz
    3 Ortiz
    4 Ortiz (very close)
    5 Bohachuk
    6 Bohachuk
    7 Bohachuk
    8 Bohachuk 10-8
    9 Ortiz
    10 Ortiz
    11 Ortiz
    12 Ortiz

    113-113 A Draw
If I change round 4 to Bohachuk, he wins 114-113. The two knockdowns hurt Ortiz. There were also rounds I was thinking "how do I score this?". Not much to separate either IMO

Commentators once again, failed miserably with their analysis.

I just watched it, you're absolutely right mate. Every single ****ing time an EE fighter fights a homeboy in the states they end up on the losing side. Yes, it was a close fight, so usually you can't argue either way. However, a close, competitive fight in which one fighter scores 2 knock downs, that's the equivalent of 4 rounds. FFS!

I don't score live fights; it takes away from my enjoyment of the event. I posted after the bout that I thought it was a draw but a point or so either way was fine.

If I was scoring, I'd give the round of the second knockdown 10-9 and not 10-8 in Boha favor because Ortiz won every second of the round besides the suspect (but legit) knockdown. I also felt that Ortiz's body work outweighed Boha's volume punching, that Ortiz had Boha hurt several times. Boha had several good rounds in the middle but Ortiz won 10-12. I don't know how that math would work out but that's why I don't score fights.

Give the Ukrainian a rematch; he deserves one.

I’m going to catch this fight today. We have an Army family, we’ve became very close friends, who are moving (he’s going to special assignment at White House) and had a big party yesterday that went into the early morning.

I had predicted to @drenlou this would go to the cards based on how elite both guys are in this moment/

Sounds like another razor close fight.

Yeah, it's obviously not a coincidence that the three home judges which shouldn't be a thing for world title fights involving a home fighter and a foreigner, let alone practically the norm which it is over there, and it ISN'T a thing in any other country in the world, they somehow manage to score it for the home boy damn near everytime. And they often appoint the same judges despite their long track record of doing this. That's clearly corruption and they robbed the previous generation of former Soviet bloc fighters over there and now they've moved onto the next, robbed or just never giving them the rub of the green in these close fights.

I really like Ortiz too but I really felt for Bohachuk after they screwed him out of his world title shot in his previous fight just two weeks before he was set to fight for it, which he had trained almost a whole camp for. His opponent Fundora was coming of a KO loss so why was he even fighting for the title in the first place? And when they made Fundora vs Tszyu instead they decided to make it for two belts. Why not just let them fight for one and allow Bohachuk and Mendoza who is the guy who KO'd Fundora fight for the other one instead?

Then they screwed Bohachuk over again by making Fundora vs Spence (not sure if that's still on) instead of Fundora vs Bohachuk or at least upgrading Bohachuk to full champ. Spence is coming off a one-sided KO loss down at 147 and has never fought at the weight. Bohachuk had won six straight including beating the dangerous KO artists Mendoza.

Then Bohachuk agreed to make the first defence of his interim title against the undefeated very highly regarded KO 100% Ortiz in the later's backyard with a home ref and three home judges and they still didn't make it for the full belt. Let's see if Mauricio decides to upgrade Ortiz to full champ something tells me he already would've done that had the roles been reversed. In fact, he wouldn't have had to because Ortiz vs Mendoza would've been for the full title.

So whilst I really like Ortiz too, who FTR I picked to win due to his faster hands, and I don't think it was a robbery, when I saw Harvey Dock try to rob Bohachuk of a clear-cut KD in just round 1, regardless if it was a balance issue or not, I though here we go again. They only rectified the KD because they knew it was too blatant to get away with even for them and look at how long it took them to do so? It should've been done during the interval before the start of round 2.

They robbed Mean Machine of a KD against Crawford and arguably one against Ortiz and they tried to do it again to Bohachuk

Now watch this. Hot Rod vs Marcus Browne

Ref ruled this a KD when no punch came close to landing and not only that but he also did nothing after Browne cracked a downed Hot Rod with a flagrant sucker punch. Browne wasn't mid punch he paused before doing that.

Then to add insult to injury the three home judges robbed Hot Rod blind and the ref waved off two KDs again Browne where if they weren't legit KDs they were sure as hell much more so than the one he ruled in favour of Browne because a punch landed both times and he allowed Browne to hold like crazy all night, had he not 100% Hot Rod would've KO'd Browne

Look, it's no secret I'm something of an Ortíz fanboy...but a) my reputation for calling it down the middle speaks for itself and b) I'm just as much a Bohachuk fanboy. (I was just telling @CST80 the other day that my rooting interest was split 50-50 in this one)

It was no robbery. Those scorecards were perfect. Bohachuk threw more but Ortíz landed more throughout.

Also - both knockdowns were technically legit per the rules, even if they weren't from concussive flush shots.

Great, great, great fight that doesn't need to be overshadowed by little storm in a teacup controversies over the KD rulings or the scoring.

    Round 1
Ortiz 10/9– Slip down from Ortiz and Boh throwing for the fences and missing often but what lands makes an impact

    Round 3–JESUS WHAT A ROUND
I could see this be a tit for tat almost a 10/10 but then mid range uppercuts from Ortiz and that body work of Ortiz very eye catching

Bohac throwing like crazy but still missing so worried about his gas tank at this point

    10/9 Ortiz
    30/27 Ortiz
