GB won't give Golovkin another fight until he fights somebody good.. Its a pride and principal issue.

Canelo has Andrande as a potential opponent as well.

The first fight was excellent, the second was even better. Who wouldn't want to see a third installment?

I **** all over Canelo for his out-of-ring antics and demands, but, inside that square, that boy can bring it. Golovkin is a beast. Why wouldn't we want to see #3?

I mean, before the fights actually happened, Oscar was the one nattering on about a trilogy!

    Why the sudden u-turn?

Yep, I agree. I think Canelo & co want to age GGG some more and DAZN wants the fight now. Thing is, with the megabucks DAZN have been spending to make fights like this happen, Canelo has few options. Unless he wants to walk away. But why would he do that? He had to know that this was the #1 fight that DAZN wanted both him and Golovkin to fight.

I’ve said this as soon as Canelo and GGG signed for the giant paydays from DAZN. No way DAZN lets them cherry pick (both Canelo and GGG) freely.

Sure they might give them a first fight freebie (Fielding, Rolls) to wheel them in, but now they expect them to earn their paydays.

Oscar better know not to bite the hand that feeds him.

This structure reminds me of UFC model. Central body calling the fights and as long as the best fights are made, I am down.

    Take my $9 per month.

DAZN is terrified of another AJ vs Ruiz scenario.
Only Big fights. AJ $hitting the bed has cost GBP & Nelo dearly... now they gotta pay the price of an over protective mother - $kip from DAZN.

I don't believe in any way, shape or form an ultimatum would include Kovalev's name, in a fight where the cash cow (Canelo) would likely be beaten pillar to post. No way. I definitely see DAZN pushing for the trilogy with Golovkin.

only for the new subscribers, and then only if you don't take the full year subscription.

Andrade, Smith, Golovkin, or Kovalev would all be acceptable fights for Canelo.

Doesn't Kovalev have a fight already lined up for next month in Russia?

The step aside fee to Yarde would have to be factored in.

Anyways, looking like Canelo vs Dereychenko.....

GGG needed a fight like Roles to get some confidence back.
