Not really a dilemma, Eddie will just be selling content to both.

Seems that we wont get anything much different than we already do but will need to shell out another £4.99 for the privilege..

Eddie is in a position of strength here , 2 massive customers of his will be falling over themselves to sign up for his exclusive content. Unless Sky plan on knocking boxing on the head or massively downgrading their investment then they will be sh**ing themselves.

One thing that doesn't fill me with confidence is the way Joe Markowski (or whatever his name is) has continually categorically stated that DAZN aren't looking to get into the UK market , then bang they announce that within 2 months it'll be up and running.

i wonder it will be like netflix the APP be on Sky platform.

Either way DAZN have lots of combat sports, football etc etc if we get that free with the subscription WITH boxing thats a great deal if the price is similar to the US a year

I saw one interview with him where he said there were no plans at this stage but it was a market they'd continue to monitor. He's too savvy to say they weren't doing it.

If you look at their model and their content, they were always going to enter the UK market eventually. The sky deal was a marriage of convenience to smooth the deal with Matchroom, but long term they will want to leverage their investment in boxing content in as many markets as possible.

They will also have noted the success of Amazon's recent foray into sports streaming. That may have encouraged them to move quickly. Amazon have the server capacity to compete with anyone and to cope with the surges in demand that live streaming involves.

DAZN need to get shows like Bunce's Boxing Hour on there, that will tempt me to part with my £5.

I'm pretty sure they have plenty of shoulder programming on the US channel.

Boxing fans should be happy with DAZN. The amount of investment they are making in the Sport makes it a great time to be a fighter.

If DAZN get the wallet out it means ESPN and PBC have to as well.

Yep, and their PPV shows are an insane price. The consumer always loses because the consumer only knows consumption.

He’s continually said no plans for UK at present but obviously reading between the lines it was always going to happen.

At the moment it seems like you’ll just get the Matchroom US cards that are already on Sky anyway but going forwards who knows what else they’ll pick up.

Cool. So as an example AJ Ruiz 2 would of been shown on DAZN?
