    Who is talking smack???

Me thinks Frank is going to win this purse bid uncontested and Booboo and Hearn are going to go hiding???

From a pure business perspective how much is the fight worth ? Both boxers are not exactly popular in terms of fan base but at the same time a WBO middleweight title could lead to a lucrative pay day ! The ego of the respective promoters will no doubt hike the purse bid , Warren has more to lose as BJS is probably his top champion and fighting on a rival’s promotion is loss of prestige. Hearn seems the better accountant so I am convincing myself that BT will pay over the odds to win

Hearn is talking a big game like he will win but IMO they don't want to and won't take the fight.

If he even bids he will get beaten easily despite the fact that Booboo is also a part from AJ their highest profile fighter in the USA. 1 Billion $$$ and he doesn't have a chance in hell of beating Frank in a purse bid.

If he did magically win the purse bid then Billy will travel and gladly spank the yank and take 80% of the loot lol.

    Lose/lose for Edward

I don’t think there would be any shame in Frank losing the purse bid, he’s lost it before and BJS had to travel. The pressure would be on Hearn, you’re going on about this billion dollars, surely you can’t get outbid. But as said above, do they even want this fight? You’re just building something, do you want one of your star men taking an L straight away?

I don't think Frank has ever lost a purse bid for Billy Joe.

Pretty sure he has never had one tbh.

Lemieux fight was agreed before bidding.

Andrade is a big name for Hearn. If Hearn can't win a bid for Andrade, what does that do for Dazn when courting other names?

Charlo will be like hell to the no.

The billion $$$ is all smoke and mirrors ffs more than 30% of it will go to tax man for starters lol.

Charlo and the Haymon boys on paper don't earn much money but they have been known to get huge back handers to make up for lowish purses!

BT can afford to bid overs because they can negotiate Billy's purse. He gets 75% in the UK but Frank can just pay him 25% and keep 50 for himself !!!!

In the US Billy will take 80%!!!

Frank never wanted to negotiate because he knew Hearn would just prolong it and would ask for interim fights. Frank is smoking them out, giving them zero options but to put in a good bid!!! Even still Eddie don't have the coin he claims to have

why does the champ get so much of the money in a mandatory fight? it makes it not worth taking the fight as a challenger

I agree. They obviously deserve the lions share but maybe 60/40 or 65/35 would be better.

I don't know why it came about but all the sanctioning bodies heavily favour the champions in purse splits

I’m not criticising him but he did effectively lose the purse bid. He admitted himself golden boy put a better deal on the table than he could.

In regards to the Andrade fight here’s what I see happening - Golovkin fights in September, so does Saunders. Them two then arrange to fight in March/April/May in a unification, would BJS be granted this by the WBO or will they have to give Andrade some step aside money which I think he would more than happily accept?

I have seen interviews where both Saunders and Frank have claimed Lemieux refused to come to the UK.

If they didn't travel then no fight

They decided to fight in Canada for the opportunity to build Saunders name in the hopes of getting a Canelo or GGG fight.

The weird thing about it is Billy properly decreased hid chances of seeing those fights being made because he done so well !

They didn’t have to fight Lemieux! If you put an offer on the table and he refuses to come then it goes to purse bids, if he loses the purse bid and still refuses to come then he loses his mandatory position!

Golden boy offered more money than Frank did. He said so himself. That’s why it happened in Canada.

that's why many fighters refuse to be mandatory when given the opportunity. The splits are so lop sided towards the champion.

in regards to purse bids for this fight. I don't think Eddie should go all out trying to win it. You still have to be smart and not lose money on a show. going all out for this fight would be silly.

its not a fight that's gonna generate big numbers.

I feel that if Eddie really wanted too, he could blow Warren/BT out of the park at this purse bid. But Eddie does seem to have an accountants mindset and likes to extract value from the numbers, and I think you will see that approach on this fight.

Also Hearn wants Andrade to have a warm-up fight etc.. shame because Saunders vs Andrade is a good fight and a good fight to add to the DAZN schedule (They need all they can get at the moment).

Perhaps Eddie is keeping Andrade at Bay for a potential Jacobs fight? - Providing he beats Dereyvanchenko.

I watched a recording of the DAZN launch and quite frankly it was underwhelming in my opinion! So they have AJ and Andrade , the WBO super bantam champ ( can't be bothered to look up his name) Jesse Vargas , unless the top 5 welter retire he has little chance of being a world champion! Plus some decent amateurs ! Doesn't look much for a Billion dollar budget in my opinion. Is Hearn willing to risk crazy money to get Andrade a US fight for him against BJS ? Personally I wouldn't if Andrade is half as good as Andrade thinks he is I would let him do the business in the UK and let BT foot the bill.
