im one that wants to watch in large screens in hd if possible. i use my big screen as a computer monitor already so if all i need is an app on my laptop, im set.
Cutting him out of what? GBP has his own deal with DAZN. Maybe one day they will take it over. But thats only if Hearn completely fails and GBP offers a much better product. Eddie has some big name guys that Canelo can fight. There is no need to cut Eddie off in regards to those fights. I think GBP and Matchroom will be working closely together.
Hearn has said that, in a one-line tweet although maybe that's been fleshed out officially too? Maybe he's right, but regardless of whether that's fact or not, there are two big promoters within the walls of DAZN now. Competition is good, I'm sure Eddie will welcome it. It's just not his show anymore, not exclusively...
I just posted 5 videos a few posts up from this where he explains your questions. *edit* Also it never was Hearn's exclusively, the WBSS has been on the platform since it's launch.
Fair point about WBSS but in my defence, Hearn does like to talk about his role with DAZN a little more than Kalle Sauerland. Look, I'm no Hearn-hater, he's the best promoter in the business, but he does tend to make everything about him and, as a result, he's gonna feel some heat and backlash; that's human nature. Equally, I'm sure he doesn't care. All publicity and all that... But if one man was ever made for the saying 'if he was made out of chocolate he would eat himself', it's Edward...
All true lol, but in Eddie's defense DAZN has put him in charge of scooping up American name fighters. DLH just wanted to deal with DAZN directly because he was looking for a platform for not just Canelo but his entire stable. It's not like hard feelings were involved Hearn was kept in the loop throughout the whole process, and both Matchroom & GBP plan on working together closely in at least unifying at Middleweight & Super Bantamweight. DAZN landing Canelo will make Hearn's job easier landing the Charlo's, Garcia's, etc that I am all but certain of.
Is it just me but i love watching him trying to sell a fight or product. I like you know his type very well, with the posh background, slick mouth and suits... But you can learn from this guy, the fact is i have never seen him mess up big time with his words or see a massive contradiction where he leaves himself in a hole. Joshua for example rarely speaks to the media and always manages to mess up such as the $50M debarkle which started with his mouth. Eddie Hearn, given the sheer amount of interviews he does, does very well. And i still give him and Joshua credit for managing to cover up the Eddie Chambers posts
Last month: "DAZN gonna fail, Haymon gon crush that TRASH like a bug, they dont know AMERICANS , AMERICA will reject them, lol @ "dazn" how you even say that ****" This month: "DAZN taking over is bad for the sport of boxing"
DAZN USA just launched. Go read up on the platform before you make statements. Not that you are wrong. They will definitely raise the prices at one point. But doubt it will be something drastic.
**** off. I'll do whatever I want before I make a statement dip****. What's with you weirdos on this site loving to tell people what to do.
If you can find one post of me saying that I'll donate 100 dollars to any charity you want, I'll video tape it for proof and post it on youtube. I'm a fan of DAZN so far, it's been great. But the more power and control they gain the less it will be about pleasing the fans and the more business it will become. Right now they're still gaining the publics trust and selling their brand. I've seen situations unfold like this countless times.
HBO or Showtime monopolizing wouldn't be awful. I doubt HBO or Showtime would ever raise prices due to boxing. That's not their main source of revenue. Any online streaming service gaining so much power is dangerous. Let's say HBO, Showtime, Hulu etc all went out of business. With no competition or options Netflix could easily charge us double. I like DAZN the way it is, but I see it as something that's "too good to be true".
Way to make yourself look like a complete moron. You had no idea that DAZN had already launched in different markets, that they dabbled in boxing beforehand, and that their focus was on bigger sports. And most of all, i agreed with you. That they will definitely raise the prices. But you fucktard took it as a personal attack. Go fist yer mum ya bum!
