Now you know why this toolbag has 4 managers. His 70 IQ allows people to take advantage of him and rip him off. He's dumb as a brick.
You really do start to understand why the AJ Vs Wilder fight hasn't happened if this is his attitude towards a Boxing App/Platform. With Canelo just signing with DAZN, AJ on the platform already and probably a lot more fighters ready to join this is Wilder showing just what a stubborn and ridiculous person he is. I'm actually happy, let all the big names figters worldwide sign or work with DAZN and let's watch Wilder go back to making $2million a fight after Fury (If the fight happens) and before you say anything, I won't be sure until Fury is starting his ring walk. Wilder will change his tune after Fury, he wants big money, it was embarrassing enough when he was told they sold $1million of tickets, throwing himself on the floor like he'd won the lottery, Hearn said if he was told the same news he would have FAILED. That's how different things are for Wilder in the world of boxing, the man is SMALL TIME.
It's mad how he can't see it though. Yeah, he's a small town gladiator at the moment but he's had the opportunity throughout his career to be so much more than a forum meme.
Imagine seeing someone who has earned a load more than you already doing the same job then signing a deal worth $365m and thinking 'What a moron, I'd never do that..." Beyond embarrassing.
They didn't even open up the entire venue. The upper sections are closed off. And there are still a ton of tickets available. Such a huge fight but they can't even sell out Barclays. Serves them right for being so greedy. (the cheapest available tickets are 207USD)
I would "sell out" in a heartbeat! Canelo just made a deal in which he makes more in one fight, than Wilder has made throughout his career. I would hit up DAZN on twitter like: "Sup, guys?" Remember when Joshua-Pulev was in the works? At that time Pulev's purse for that fight was almost as much as Wilder had made during his title run. Pulev was set to make in one night what Wilder managed to scrape together in years!
FFS I'm very surprised the Wilder Fanboys haven't mentioned this, they told me this was the biggest fight in the Heavyweight division and it would be HUGE. No doubt they will come on now and say "The ticket sales do not matter, it's the PPV sales that count". Funny how they were slaughtering AJ Vs Povetkin for not selling out instantly, the ticket sales mattered then. What a bunch of clowns Wilder, Finkel and Wilder Fanboys really are
I would also like to add that Wilder-Fury was rumored to have a massive undercard! Something i was personally looking forward to. This content is protected But jack **** has been announced. Wtf happened? BoxRec only lists Isaac "Who the **** is that?" Lowe... The whole thing is a sham. It should not be a 60USD PPV, it should have an undercard in place and the tickets should be waaaay cheaper!!!
It is a huge fight. But they completely butchered it. The tickets were ridiculously expensive. 200, 300, 500, 1000, 1500, 2500 are the currently available seats. Most available are above the 300 mark. The upper section is closed off because them greedy asses thought they would sell out the expensive seats first, then open up the "cheaper" seats. There is no undercard. And good luck on PPV! This fight should have been in the U.K. Wilder is not a big draw in the states. They would had an easier time selling tickets in the U.K. market.
Yeah I know, it's insane, Wilder is being left behind at a rapid pace. If this Fury fight didn't happen or Fury gets injured and it's eventually cancelled (which is still a possibility in my opinion, see WK rematch) then Wilder is screwed, he really is on the outside looking in. Even after Fury, regardless how big or small it is, Wilder has cornered himself, he has built barriers to big paydays with his ridiculous antics and attitude. Personally I love it, it's funny, everybody else earning big money or about to earn big money and Wilder at his age still hasn't had a PPV fight and in 3 months will be shouting and screaming again, mentioning Joshua in every interview just to try and get some interest in him. And Wilder Fanboys try to tell me he is worth more than what he was offered by Hearn.. GTFO, Wilder is small time, everything he does and says is small time, it's genuinely embarrassing.
Yeah, that Deontay is a real bright guy. Streaming is the trend in boxing and DAZN is leading that trend currently and he bad mouths DAZN. Canelo signs for $365M and Wilder disses Hearns. Great business mind, that Wilder.
Yeah I agree. They have rushed this in my opinion and have not given themselves enough of a chance for the fight to be as big as it can be. It should have been in the UK, you're spot on, I know a lot of people who watch boxing all the time, they watch any old rubbish and buy lots of PPV's, these people have said they won't be watching this in the early hours. They don't like Fury, they don't really like Wilder, they are not emotionally invested/involved in it. And these are people that stayed up and watch McGregor Vs Khabib, they banged on about that for weeks, yet they have virtually zero interest in this fight and it's what I'm hearing every time when I mention it. People want to see AJ Vs Wilder, AJ vs Fury but without AJ there isn't any real interest. So when Wilder fans tell me it's going to be huge then it's going to have to be huge in the US because I really don't think it will be over here, certainly not at 4-5am. And like you say, Wilder isn't a draw in the US, they have closed parts of the Arena for this fight, it's just really poor all around.
