DAZN's first PPV is an odd selection to say the least...

    if this is true it will bomb. its not a top fight at all. dazn needs to stop overpaying fighters. boxers are overpaid

    Might have to take a trip to unsubscribeville.

    I'd pay for a megafight however I might have to watch the replay if they do follow through with selling this as PPV.

    The whole point of paying for DAZN was to watch Golovkin, Canelo, Usyk, Joshua etc without worrying about anything else. If they put GGG/Murata on PPV, I’m cancelling my subscription.

    Bizarre.

    Golovkin has been great for boxing but let's be honest, his time as a PPV headliner is long past. The reported deal with DAZN looked ill-advised, the only way it could pay off would've been with another Canelo fight which they couldn't deliver. To be honest I don't know who will be paying for this, but I know I won't.

    Didn't renew the subscription right after the news broke out about a PPV. Pretty much fed up as I've heard for years by DAZN "We are PPV free!".

    Wouldn't Fuji TV need to buy the rights from DAZN Japan?

    I can't see anything on DAZN Japan about this. So far this thread is based off a lost Twitter post?

    DAZN Japan do not have the rights for this and ryota murata fights on Fuji TV.

    The fight being on DAZN would be a disaster and Arum would never agree to that. Murata does crazy TV numbers and the rule in Japan is you can't build any stars without network TV.

    I'm curious what the benefit would be to DAZN in this scenario. Given that they are the ones bank rolling GGG.
    Seems like it would make more sense for them to have kept it in house against Andrade, unless they just view Murata as a soft touch they can sell some PPVs off the back off in the other regions

    Can't seem to find it myself honestly, perhaps this is just a rumour being bandied about. Perhaps they're floating the idea before announcing it to gauge interest.
